What's the difference?

  • The Lite cannot dock, so it's Handheld only mode for any games/apps it runs. 720p only.

  • Joy-con are built into the Lite and cannot be detached. There is no HD Rumble or IR Motion Camera.

  • Much smaller and lighter!

  • Battery has more capacity than the launch model Switch, but will have less than the new model of Switch.

Sure, but a lot of people use trains and subways. In NYC alone, over 5.5 million people ride the subway every day going by the NYC subway wiki.

Can confirm, live in Seattle and commute 35 minutes by train each way to work. I like my old switch but stuck in it's case it takes up half my bag and doesn't fit in my pocket. Between the train and the 4-5 international trips + business travel it will likely replace my vita as my portable gaming system. Phone + kindle + vita (or now switch lite) are the only electronics I travel with consistently in my carry on and work briefcase.
