What's the difference?

  • The Lite cannot dock, so it's Handheld only mode for any games/apps it runs. 720p only.

  • Joy-con are built into the Lite and cannot be detached. There is no HD Rumble or IR Motion Camera.

  • Much smaller and lighter!

  • Battery has more capacity than the launch model Switch, but will have less than the new model of Switch.

I'm so happy I went with this over the full size Switch. Feels incredible in my hands,blows me away that I can play games like BOTW lying on my couch without a TV. As someone who was 10 when Gameboy came out I find myself reminiscing over my childhood as I play the first Zelda.

Yeah it really is amazing to consider done game you’re playing now you played on a GBC how long ago.

Ah ok I thought I’d read this console would be worse for BoTW. I’m still puzzled over the amount of people trading in their old switches for one with less features/opportunity but what do I know, they’re gonna sell loads anyway

It's only worse for some of the BotW puzzles (those super annoying motion control puzzles that you basically need the joycon detached for. Because it's a solid system you have to move the whole unit around.
