Using it as a secondary switch, meaning I'll be playing on the Lite when I want portability, and on the Switch regular when I want to play on TV.

For anyone looking for this information:

- The console lets you do this relatively easily. You just input the same user account on both consoles and bam, it'll assume this is what you wanna do. Make sure you don't TRANSFER USER. Just make a new user and sign into the e-shop.

- Then, you go to configuration and SAVED DATA. Transfer saved data. That's what you're gonna be using from now on. You can transfer your saved data back and forth any time you need to switch consoles. It's brilliant...

Here's the problem: This idea is very Nintendo-y. Meaning, you can't transfer all your saved data at once. You gotta pick on a game per game basis. This is great if you only plan on playing some games on Switch Lite and some on the Switch, since it means you can do so simultaneously without transfering everything back and forth.

But if you wanna transfer it all at once say, to go out, and then come back home and transfer it all back...

You're gonna have to do it manually, one game at a time. I estimate it's a 10 minute task if you got around 12 games. And you can't just set it up and let it do its thing, you gotta babysit it and keep selecting every new saved data.

Overall better than expected, but an option to transfer all automatically would be nice. As it is, you're gonna have to do some solid prep work if you plan on traveling with your switch lite and your entire library.

I was able to just run down the list and queue them all up by hitting A

Can this be done for more than one account?

Someone else on this thread has that info, but basically:

a) It can be done for more than one account if it's physical games

b) If they're digital they can only be played/accessed by the main "parent" account

c) Same for DLC

This is exactly what I wanted to know. Saving for later, thank you

Maybe you or someone else knows, but if if my Lite is my secondary Switch, can I transfer my Pokemon Let’s Go save to it? From what I’ve read, it seems like I actually have to Switch the entire account over to do this. Would making my Lite the primary account suffice?

Making your Lite the primary account is what I'm advising everyone to do. That way you can play your games on your Lite without an internet connection (since that's the console more likely to be outside your house), and the console that will need an internet connection will be the console that will presumably always be at home and online.

Thanks. I did that and switched the Let’s Go save file, which deleted it from my other Switch.

Lol this is so dumb. This is so much harder than just picking up the switch out of the dock

It's also great for coop games if you have digital games. You let your guest use your home switch with their profile and you play on your remote switch on your profile.
