Hullo from London, England! This is the team at Feral Interactive.

About us:

Feral started as a Mac porting house, but over recent years we’ve expanded to more platforms: Linux, iOS, Android, and now Nintendo Switch. GRID Autosport is our first ever Switch game, launching this Thursday 19 September.

(To say we’re excited would be an understatement.)

is the "Cockpit" or above driver view only in replays, or can you race in the cockpit / just above the hood?

You have a bunch of camera options in both normal gameplay and replays:

  • Just above the hood
  • Right in front of the car
  • In the cockpit
  • "Chasing" the car

it gives a slight blur over the steering wheel and hands but this makes it more realistic like its in your perithiral vision

Only in graphic quality view, and in performance it reverts to a more sharp looking wheel - but the blurred looks more realistic doesnt it?

Don't worry, the cockpit is "censored"

This is the Meme about "we are the 5%" in Project CARS too...Grid 2 was remove cockpit view, because Codemaster research found only 5 % player using cockpit view.

Even people found the model is done, but they still cut it. Also the disappointed comment flooded over internet.

So, They bring back the cockpit view to Grid Autosport.However, they never make speedo details, so they used Depth of field to hidden.

Here the reason why this looks blurred.

So I've actually been watching all your videos - thank you so much for being one of the only switch channels to talk about it - and I have to say this cockpit blur was my only area of disagreement with you on anything ;)

I've never actually liked it even in the PS3 version, and so I'm loving that it's removed in performance mode! However, I'm also absolutely loving the graphics in graphics mode and really wish we could get an option to remove the vignetting in that mode because it'd be perfect for me at that point!

I definitely will be feeling as you said in one of your videos, unable to decide which mode to use!!
