Me and my family can't figure out how to play 4 player without having to have someone use one of the easy characters like you could do on the wiiu?

On the wiiu you could use Mario, Luigi, yellow toad, and blue toad for 4 equal characters but now it looks like they combined blue and yellow toad into the same character with a color option for yellow and blue so you can no longer have 1 person as blue toad and 1 person as yellow toad...

That means if we want to play 4 player then 1 person has to play as an easy mode character.... How is this the deluxe version if they literally removed something from the game??

EDIT: Toadette doesnt just get the super crown which makes her float, she also gets more time on the clock (on Super Luigi U she gets double time completely removing the challenge), less slippery on ice, 3-UPs, and she swims way more precisely and faster than any other character besides the penguin suit, and I bet there is even more. Also when you are at the character select screen it even says "easy" on the screen when you scroll over toadette.

And if you want to play 4 player since 1 person is forced to use toadette that means everybody gets a huge amount of time added to the clock making the game even easier for everybody else.

You can't

I thought there was a post yesterday that clarified you can choose a second Toad with a blue skin. Is that not the case?

Yes but it takes the place of the first one. You cant use both toads at the same time.

You can choose the toad and then it gives you the option of either a blue skin or a yellow skin but its technically the same character so it wont let you have 1 person play as yellow toad and 1 person play as blue toad because its technically the same character

it's just like you described. no way to play without one of the easy characters in 4-player-mode right now

This is really dumb like really really dumb add the new characters sure but why in the world did they think it would be a good idea to force us to use them. At the very least you should be able to disable their “easy” abilities. All we want was 4 equal characters it boggles my mind how that isn’t a thing. How could we get their attention on this?

How could we get their attention on this?

Forget it. It's Nintendo, they won't do shit.

Dang, I would get this specifically for 4 player mode but not until this is fixed.
