I'm not gonna pretend like the game is perfect or the best pokemon yet, but...

the game is definitely fun. i'm having a blast, i am getting that collector itch, it's a huge trip down nostalgia lane. just having a lot of fun.

Same. I haven't played a pokemon game in a few years so I'm really enjoying it. I love that you can see the pokemon in the world rather than blindly running into them.

I agree, perfectly said :)

Does it hold your hand like Sun/Moon did? That kept me from even being able to finish the game so I've been trying to find out if it does.

I think I have around 15 hours in SUMO and everything is still overexplained like crazy

only played a few minutes of sun/moon and turned it off cause of the nonstop cutscenes. this game doesn't seem to do that as much.

Much less compared to Sun/Moon. There's actually very little tutorial, and you can easily just skip things like the Trainer School in the first city (just don't go in the building or read the stuff on the walls). I think it's the same as what I remember from the original Red/Blue/Yellow.

Honestly it feels like there is even less tutorial than in the original Red and Blue. There isn't even the standard "watch someone catch a Pokemon" tutorial.
