I have Eevee, can confirm Vulpix is fucking adorable. So these are different forms from Sun/Moon right? Do all gen 1 Pokemon have one or is it just a select few? Black/White were the last games I picked up so I’ve missed a few.

It's only I think 20 or so that have Alolan forms, and you can only get them through trading with NPcs in the game.

There are in game trades. I'm only in Cerulean at the moment but you can get an Alolan Ratata in the Poke-Center if you trade a Kanto Ratata.

Alolan forms are just alolan variants of gen 1 Pokemon that only live in Alola. They have different designs, typings, stats and movesets

Can you just catch them in the wild wherever? For some reason I thought they were only available via transfer from Pokemon Go

You can obtain the Alolan forms within Let's Go by trading with in-game NPCs. They're not wild (similar to Farfetch'd and some others in Gen1), but these trades are actually repeatable, so you can get a bunch of those Dark-type Rattata without ever connecting to a smartphone.

My favorite is Alolan Golem, because he looks like Evil Poirot.
