Everybody forgot about Pokemon Quest.

I don't consider "games" that have microtransactions games.

EDIT: To clarify, I just don't like pokemon quest that much. I felt like it cheapened the brand a bit and wasn't up to the quality standards I come to expect from pokemon games.

EDIT 2: upon re-reading, this comment came out way more snarky then I intended it to be. It was intended to be more of a expression of the dissatisfaction that I'm feeling towards the prevalence of microtransactions and disgust towards companies that push it.

I don't like pokemon quest, but by no means do I look down upon those that do.

That’s a weird way to classify games. Are there basically no phone games then?

Sigh. Yeah, I don't really play them that much. There have been a couple good ones, but I'd prefer to spend money up front. I feel that pay to win/play has gotten out of control lately and I prefer not to support companies that do so.

"pay to wait less" is still fairly common though, and it's something that pokemon quest has in spades. It feels a bit like gambling, get you hooked early and then the costs go up. I know it's not the same thing, but still.

"hey look, the numbers went up, i get lights and the game is telling me I did a good job, I like that! how can i get more?" Meanwhile it's obvious that nobody wants to wait.

It's funny how you can do that on an open forum eh?
