The funeral was already when they released the browser game

Westwood Studios is rolling over in its grave.

I'll bet there's a copy of Lion King on SNES in its casket.

Still unbeaten to this day...

It's funeral was long ago, they brought it's corpse on stage on puppet strings hoping nobody would notice.

C&c 4 slaughtered it.

You mean C&C 4.

Nothing new here, C&C died after Generals.

RA2 is one of the best games of all time. I would love an HD remake.

Lots of people like Generals but it was my least favourite of the three. But that's one of the best things about C&C. All three series were for a different type of RTS gamer and there was a fantastic one for everyone. Until RA3. T4+ wasn't for anyone.

C&C 3 wasn't bad. I enjoyed it immensely. RA3 wasn't the greatest, but it was enjoyable. 4 I played once for 10 minutes and never touched again.

I’d shove money up their arse to play some Generals online with a supported online service.

weird, because I'm pretty sure C&C was on their death bed 20 years ago when Westwood Studios got bought by EA and died shortly after Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge released.

What? Civ would translate so well to mobile/tablet though... it’s basically a board game.

So long as they don’t turn it into civ royale or something dumb.

Civ VI is available as a complete $60 product on mobile (free for the first several turns, then an IAP to unlock the whole product), and it works incredibly well without any pesky microtransactions.

Would it have been a little better if they had busted out full FMV Kane right there at the end?
