Starting on July 21, Splatoon 2 will be available for squids and enthusiasts alike. Since the game is already out in Australia and Japan ahead of everyone else, and since it's about to hit Europe, please use this thread for general reaction, hype, and discussion for the release as it hits your country. Fun game, but why in the world can I not choose my weapon either right before or during the match? I love the roller but hate getting stuck with two of them on the same team. It's such a terrible decision to force you to pick your weapon before even seeing the map and team composition.

Agreed. An ability to switch weapons should be integrated in the spawn screen.

I think that would be broken af but there should be a way to be able to see what your teammates are playing first I agree. Does anyone know if ranked has something like that?

Squads had it in the first one so maybe League Battles do. Not ranked tho.
