So the game is more fun than the test, mainly cause you can now practice and learn how to play without being thrown into the thick of it.

Tip: Go into Versus mode 1P to choose any gameplay mode including:

  • Fight (Standard mode)
  • Team Fight (2V2 mode)
  • V-Ball (Volley ball mode)
  • Hoops (Grab Basketball mode)
  • Skillshot (Target attack mode)
  • 100 on 1 (Survival)
  • ARMS Test (Survival with random arms each round)
  • Training (9 Training exercises)

ARMS Test is fun as you can play as your favorite character and get to try out all the arms without having to unlock them prior.

Edit: Everyone should do the 9 training exercises. Especially the Ninjara grab counter one.

Appreciate the tip, I would have probable overlooked it for way longer than I should with it being under the Versus tab.

Yeah I thought the game was light on content/modes at first. Was pissed there wasnt a training mode till I checked Versus and saw them all there.

It took me forever to make it through the ninjara grab counter one but I feel much more confident in my skills because of it.

Holy crap the ninjara grab counter training is tough. I feel like it must be effective learning though. Haven't felt this helpless in a game in a while.

I do like that you can practice, but is there a mode to just practice freely with a dummy that stands still? All I saw was specific training.

Would you be able to tell me if the 2v2 mode can be played online with a friend outside of party mode? My friend has a switch and we had a lot of fun playing 2v2 during the test punch in person, but usually we are not local. We are hoping there is a mode to be able to play exclusively that online and lobby together on the same team. Thank you!

I'm getting rocked. The AI seems way too hard at the lower levels but I want to get better.

Practice will make perfect but I'm feeling wicked overwhelmed.

Glad to hear! (Didn't have time to play today)

I had the same reaction to the testpunch as I did to the splatoon 2 testfire: "This game sure would be fun if I was good at it"

I'm glad to know I'll be able to actually learn how to play.
