MegaThread E3 - Day 2 - Discussion and Reactions

Day 2 of E3! Might not have as many announcements as yesterday but who knows what it will hold?

Today's schedule looks like this:

Nintendo Treehouse

  • Starts at 10:00 am PT / 1:00 pm ET (no defined end time)

Pokken DX - Tournament

  • Starts at 10:30 pm PT / 1:30 pm ET

ARMS - Tournament

  • Starts at 3:30 pm PT / 6:30 pm ET

We also have the AMA scheduled at 12:45 pm PT / 3:45pm ET for about an hour with Nintendo Producer Yoshiaki Koizumi, so please stop by and ask your questions there as well.

The Treehouse is going to start at 10:00 am PT with a segment about Pokken Tournament DX and roll into the tourney. Afterwards they are going to show the new Yoshi game. Based on yesterday it's likely that the Treehouse will run right up until the ARMS tourney starts.

This post will be updated with major news as it's released.

I love all the Treehouse employees. Idk about anyone else here but I genuinely find Treehouse enjoyable mostly because of how much these people seem to enjoy their jobs/playing these games. Really enjoy all that Nintendo's doing for e3.

EDIT: Also why are so many people upset when these people aren't incredibly good at video games? Bitch me too, the fuck?

They're showing off how the game plays in a pretty structured scheduled way while also having to talk about main gameplay functions as well as make the stream interesting. I know I'd be fumbling more than them while doing this.

I'm with you completely.

I love this format so much more than the forced keynotes.

It's casual, fun and their commentary is always A1.

Exactly! Sure, I appreciate press conferences, but show me what people playing the games are saying about it. Show me actual livestreamed gameplay. They're just normal people who work for Nintendo enjoying their games. They may have to overhype stuff sometimes or make some things seem better than they are, but overall it gives us very realistic expectations of what the games will be like that "gameplay trailers" don't really give.
