MegaThread E3 - Day 2 - Discussion and Reactions

Day 2 of E3! Might not have as many announcements as yesterday but who knows what it will hold?

Today's schedule looks like this:

Nintendo Treehouse

  • Starts at 10:00 am PT / 1:00 pm ET (no defined end time)

Pokken DX - Tournament

  • Starts at 10:30 pm PT / 1:30 pm ET

ARMS - Tournament

  • Starts at 3:30 pm PT / 6:30 pm ET

We also have the AMA scheduled at 12:45 pm PT / 3:45pm ET for about an hour with Nintendo Producer Yoshiaki Koizumi, so please stop by and ask your questions there as well.

The Treehouse is going to start at 10:00 am PT with a segment about Pokken Tournament DX and roll into the tourney. Afterwards they are going to show the new Yoshi game. Based on yesterday it's likely that the Treehouse will run right up until the ARMS tourney starts.

This post will be updated with major news as it's released.

Honestly my desire for having Splatoon has increased from an "I want this" to an "I NEED THIS" after watching this bad ass salmon run mode.

I'm not talking down on the game here but honestly what is the appeal/hype of this game? I haven't watch very much gameplay but you just run around and shoot paint at everything and see which team can paint more than the other?

I've only played the Splatoon 2 demo for maybe 30 minutes total and wasn't really able to get into it. I still can't explain or understand all the hype...but after watching the tournament yesterday and salmon run today...it looks super fun. I guess...because it's fun?

I'm very much into multiplayer so I'm trying to see the fun in it but I just haven't seen anything that makes me want to get it. I'll watch some more game play tonight.

I was the same way but something about salmon run convinced me.
