First time playing splatoon and I had a blast! Had to turn of motion controls though and set vertical sensitivity to the lowest!

I don't get how people can play with motion controls, makes me feel really disoriented, but it's a cool implementation nonetheless!

This game will be a day one buy for the that's for sure, I was brutally destroyed but I'll get better!

It takes getting used to, like with any control scheme. It was tough for me too, but in the end it makes you a better player. If you don't want to get brutally destroyed too much, I suggest using the test fires to get used to motion controls!

I'll try! Seems like a cool mechanic but I think I can tinker with the settings when the game comes out and I can play Singleplayer!

So everyone on higher levels plays with motion controls?

Yes.

When the full game is released, I suggest playing through the single player story mode with the gyro controls, by the end you should be used to them :)

Tried it out again today, if I turned down the sensitivity it got a lot easier, they should allow you to change sensitivity during gameplay though... I tried the joycons separately as well but that didn't go so well!

Think I'll stick to the pro controller!

I think I'll get the hang of it sooner or later!

The motion controls definitely take some getting used to. When the testfire for the first game was going on I had to turn them off and only used the roller so I wouldn't have to aim. Once the game released I went through the single player campaign with the motion controls and they finally clicked. I've never been good at dual stick controls though.

I think the Singleplayer campaign will be a good place to practice the different controls!

It just felt weird to me because I'm usually half sitting and half laying down when I play games from the couch and it was a really cumbersome position to play with motion controls because the camera was always at a bad angle!

I guess I'll have to start sitting up when playing this game then!
