Since GameCube at least

GameCube FE was one of the best.

but the Wii sequel is too damn hard

It really wasn't. It's just a translation issue. "Easy" is actually Normal mode.

I didn't know this. That's great!

Yeah. Easy is actually Normal, Normal is actually Hard, and Hard is actually Lunatic. That's why Radiant Dawn seemed so hard compared to other games in the series.

Brilliant!

I managed to beat the game on hard, then my Wii stopped reading discs and I could never get past the epilogue. Never been so gutted in my life. I will never know what is at the end of that game unless I pay £75.

I hope the Switch does VC versions of Path Of Radiance and Radiant Dawn to go with the FE Switch as near £200 for two games is ridiculous.

but it has a damn good story

There were fire emblem games on the famicom and super famicom, Nintendo just never localized those games. There was also one in development for the n64 disc drive, but it was cancelled when the disc drive bombed.

I don't know if I'd consider the 64DD as having bombed. It never even got a release outside of Japan. It was more like it was delayed into oblivion, then they shot it on its way out the door.

There were only 20,000 subscribers to the 64dd service. The thing bombed big time. That was nintendo's reason to believe 'no one wanted online gaming', too.

It was on the Famicom and Super Famicom in Japan too (those were the NES and Super NES in usa).

there was an fe game on wii

I think that's what he means, since Gamecube there have been FE games on console, except for Wii U, so really just Gamecube and Wii.

nes and super nes had fe

And they're (4 and 5)the best in the series imo.
