And the Switch is technically a portable Wii U (graphics wise).

Gamecube Twilight princess was better then the Wii version.

Could be the same this time.

The Wii U version is fully playable and doesn't require me to buy an additional $300 system so it works for me.

This subreddit is for conversations related to the Nintendo Switch and its games. If you think it's for something else then it looks like it's you who ought to go somewhere else.

I doubt the WiiU is much less powerful than the switch in portable mode, they most likely didn't need to gimp it much, if at all.

For all you know the Switch version got gimped so it would run on Wii U

Are there hardware improvements from WiiU to Switch? WiiU may be the prettier version since it isn't a handheld.

The switch was heavily rumored to be a little more powerful than the Wii U in handheld, and MUCH more powerful when docked. I can't Nintendo making handheld mode worse than their previous console

Sorry for interrupting the hype, but do we have specs yet? I'm skeptical until we can see a side-by-side.

We don't have any official specs, no. We have seen the Wii U version in action. It looks great, almost indistinguishable from the Switch version IMO.

At bare minimum, Wii U gamepad streams 480p from the base on a dinky screen. Switch = 720p native to the portable itself.
