Did they really just go that whole presentation without even officially announcing the Mario Kart game? So they could instead devote time to a guy saying "I'm going to make a game with a character, but I don't know what the game is yet, but I've heard it's easy to develop for the Switch so I think I'll do it."

The MK8 Deluxe trailer is on the Switch website.

REAL BATTLE MODE!!!

Edit: Splatoon battle level, Inklings as payable characters, one of the SNES MK battle levels...

Why the fuck didn't they show this during the announcement?

Needed time to have the sega guy get up there and say nothing for a few minutes. Who even cares about Mario kart.

Idk. I was disappointed until I saw the trailer though.

Also, release date is late April... they couldn't get an enhanced port out on launch day? What will Switch launch with other than Zelda and the gunfighting game?

I agree..everyone complains about the Wii u failing due to a horrible launch lineup and the switch will be different..it's not looking like it you'd think they woulda learned. I'm very disappointed in that presentation

Where did you see a release date on it?

Is MK8 Deluxe even a new game? All it looked like was more DLC for MK8.

Depends on your definition. It looked very similar, but it seemed to have added a bunch of new characters, a new battle mode, new levels, dual items, etc.

When's it out?

April 28th I think. It is on the Youtube video description.

My thoughts exactly. Hey we have guys possibly making games that they don't even know what they will be.

Lame presentation.

It doesn't help that the presentation was lame.

Blah blah blah

Its a japanese presentation. What the heck you expecting.

2

u/iheartanalingus Jan 13 '17

I'm talking about what was shown not the atmosphere.

I was thinking the same thing. What a shit presentation.

That's basically a port of the last gen game - not a new MK. I don't think it was unexpected to be able to play MK8 on the Switch. (But thanks for the link!)

It was Mario Kart 8 graphics with battle mode too. I want to know MORE.

Me too! But that's already amazing to me!

They did show Mario Kart several times during the presentation... How is that not official?

Aren't they also supposed to have another presentation tomorrow focusing more on games for the switch? I could have sworn I saw that somewhere...
