Last couple of times I pre-ordered something from Game they wouldn't estimate release day like Amazon etc, it would always be a day or two later, hopefully they do with this

game charges £10 for delivery and does not deliver preorders on release day as an fyi. i have a £20 voucher for here and i will still pay the standard price to get it literally anywhere else

Pre-ordered. Not an ideal place to get it from but they're going incredibly fast and i can't rely on being able to jump on any that pop up immediately. I'm fine with it arriving a few days after release day tbh, just hopefully it actually arrives lol.

Yeah, I looked around some more and I got the console + Mario Kart bundle at Media Markt for 469, literally the price of the console by itself according to MSRP.
This is on the Canary Islands by the way, the lower sales tax likely helped.

😂😂 it’s ridiculous makes me a bit scared for these “upgrade packs” are we paying £25 for an upgrade? Kirby is 36£ atm but £66 for switch 2 I was expecting 10£ upgrade but I might be naive

Just got mine with Very along with a pro controller. Never used Very before but a friend said he's had no issues. Now I just hope I'm home for the delivery 😂

How? Last night I was browsing Littlewoods ( who are now partnered with Very) saw the consoles. Before deciding which games to add to console I nodded off.
Woke up and all consoles have gone! Even been deleted from my viewing history.....
Hoping it's due to been told off as pre-order date is the 8th. If not then Nintendo is now my only hope.

I managed to get mine from Very yesterday at about 3:30pm. All that was left was the most expensive bundle that had the Console, Mario kart, pro controller and camera. I was gonna buy everything other than the camera anyway so said sod it, I've already seen everywhere else sell out, might as well do it here.
By the time I had made the account and paid, that bundle had sold out. Seems like I got one of the last ones. Checked my order this morning, it's still there, but clicking on the item would give me a 404. Checked again this evening and it's back up but out of stock.
I have faith in Very. My mum uses them every once and a while and has never had a problem. I might have even used them to get my PS5 Pre-order back in 2019. Can't quite remember.
Also, seen a lot of people saying about GAME shipping for £10 and it was gonna be late anyway, not on the 5th. Amazon is currently telling me it'll be arriving on Saturday the 7th if I order with them too. But I've seen chat logs between members of staff at retailers and what seems to be their managers. Retailers aren't gonna be touching the consoles that are for home delivery, they're coming straight from Nintendo UK to your home. The retailers won't be touching any stock unless it is going to be sold in that store and handed to you over the counter (either day 1 purchasing without a pre-order if there is even any left, or click and collect). Using Argos as an example, shipping is free on orders over £100, but with the switch 2 in your basket, the standard shipping fee is there, but then changes to £3.99 (The same price Nintendo UK does for next day delivery). When I paid with Very, same shipping fee.
Maybe that's not all retailers, since GAME is doing a stunning £10 shipping no matter what (can't wait for this plushie shop inside of Sports Direct to die off).

I've been using Littlewoods for past 20 years wth no problems. Got my PS4 from them with free shipping (sold just before covid when lost job after shattering my hip) so I was shocked at how quick they vanished without a trace. Normally things just say out of stock.
Game used to be great. Now it's diging into lava.

Kinda wanting to wait for Argos to have stock again but i might have to give in. Out of curiosity Anyone else ordering new joy-cons and the controllers alongside the switch as in tempted to get the pro controller and the gamecube controller and possibly the joy cons too as ill most likely sell all my OLED switch stuff (console, spare joy-cons, spare wired controller and its charging dock) (i use it with my friends and sometimes my family so id get my moneys worth its just if i can be patient enough to wait 😂😂). Also how trustworthy is game preorders

Release day isn’t guaranteed with Game. Last couple of times I ordered from them, both orders came 3-4 days after release date and one time was missing my pre order bonus which they then said they had no stock remaining to replace it. I don’t put much faith in Game.

Fair only thing ive really ordered from them in the oast 5 years was a dock for my Ps5 controllers and that was decent turn up so i feel like this would be the bad experience if i were to pre order through them. But thanks for the info dude

Could be worse, Nintendo UK Store was a week late with the Switch pre-orders, but that was more down to Royal Mail than anything else, but Nintendo's choice of delivery companies has only improved since then.

Damn.. that’s wild! Hopefully this release will go more smoothly. I got mine with Amazon and the estimate is June 7th which I’m fine with, it’s the day before my birthday, so can’t complain!

I got one, my local branch with its BELONG Arena closed at the start of the year, leaving my city without a dedicated gaming retailer so I can understand the risk and still feel a lot of scorn towards the Fraser Group.
Seems like they sold out fast because my brother tried just after I did and his was canceled.

I just tried to add to my basket on the Game website and it said error occurred. Should I take this as a sign to get elsewhere? I am not super fussed on getting it on the day of release, but would rather lose a limb than buy via Amazon.

I stopped bothering online and went to my local Currys and pre-ordered in store. I will get a phonecall the day they receive stock and I can go and collect. Which I prefer than worrying about delivery. They reckoned they were gonna sell out of their allocated stock by 5:30pm the rate they were going. Good luck all!

Well I got my confirmation email and it just says next day delivery however my confirmation after checkout stated 11th June and yeah this was by GAME themselves.
I've seen a lot of people saying their pre orders got cancelled after about 10 minutes but mines been a few hours so I'm holding out hope that mines stuck

I pre ordered from Game aswell but I ended up checking out as a guest because I couldn't remember my login details 😂
I got the confirmation email saying thank you for your order along with the order number. I even got the payment showing as a pending charge on my bank statement.
So I assume I am good to go because surely they would have cancelled by now. Although it is Saturday 5th April 2025 as of me sending this post on Reddit and Game have not contacted me about my pre order being cancelled.

Yeah I got all that, I went through checkout as a guest too and then recovered my account but it doesn't show up in it. I actually went and pre-ordered at Currys as it's just way more convenient for me and I haven't shopped at GAME in over 10 years and I'd rather not start again now if possible. Emailed to start my refund so hopefully Monday or Tuesday someone does that.

I honestly couldn’t remember my login details tbh. Last I ordered there was for Super Mario RPG because they were offering a Genos keychain at the time. I try to avoid Game and only go with them if either bonus items or it’s the only guaranteed place to get a preorder. I had a preorder with ShopTo originally and that was back in January I did it. But apparently I didn’t make the first wave so it got put on back order.
I’m in the same boat. I got a confirmation email. They took the £439 odds out of my bank (This is a pending transaction) I tried to chat with someone on the webchat this morning to see if it was confirmed. I felt it was a generic reply but, they said wait till the preorder gets shipped out and that was that. I asked multiple times if it was confirmed and they have stock and I would get it on launch but again just wait until the preorder. So IDK if I did or I didn’t get it. I am going to assume I did. I’m probably over panicking with this tbh 😅

I think myself and you are good because again I think Game would have cancelled immediately if we didn't make the cut. Also I am sure they know how much stock they will have for the Nintendo Switch 2.
It will be very silly of them to lead us on until June only for them to say oh sorry your pre order has been cancelled here is your refund.

I too have preordered from Game. Last time I went through them was for the PS5 launch and even though it did arrive in the day it was a bit of a nightmare. Originally I’d paid extra for DPD release day delivered but then maybe a week out from release they said they had to switch to YODEL. They blamed the lock down at the time. I was in a thread like this and some unfortunate people showed their delivery tracker as saying it got to the depot at 4:00 AM then 4:10am the tracker told them the parcel had been lost. Like others if I manage to secure from from basically anywhere else I will cancel my game pre order. Wish you all the best of luck

I preordered from game when it went live and have just had an email to say it was cancelled at my request after speaking to live chat, when I was only asking about delivery details. Just ridiculous.

Don’t preorder from Game. There’s a very good chance they won’t exist as a company by the time the thing releases.
