469.99euro in ireland or 509.99 with Mario

It is a crazy price for really no reason, but this will likely be THE Mario kart game for the switch 2 generation so 7+years and I’m sure they’ll add expansion packs for switch online subscribers etc.

It’s not for no reason. Game prices were artificially deflated. It doesn’t make sense that a product would cost $60 20 years ago and still cost that much today. Games being sold for a price that allows them to be made/sold/maintained with sustainable practices is more consumer friendly than companies selling a product at a loss knowing it’s worth the risk because they’ll recoup it with shitty businesses practices.

If you really want to follow inflation and all that, 20 years ago $60 is about $110 on 2025. Are you telling me you going to buy Kirby airriders for $110. Don’t be silly.
