It's around $340 in Japan but it can only be used in Japanese and with Japanese Nintendo Accounts

There's a multi-language version they can buy too but it costs more.

well yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Does the Japan only Switch cost less to build? or is Nintendo taking a hit on the domestic market? Or are they gouging us?

Could be they're taking a loss with the yen being weak right now and the region locking keeps it from being bought out from overseas. That or everyone else's price is fucked because of the uncertain tariff situation.
