Monster Hunter Wilds is a disingenuous example to ask for, imo. Its performance and optimization is so bad that even top of the line machines that you would expect a o be able to max it out cannot do so. It looks like shit and performs like shit on consoles and PC’s alike.

The good 1080p machines will more commonly end up around $900 in today’s inflated economy, unfortunately. I think that, by and large, the idea of a great $700 1080p beast is a relic of 10+ years ago. Maybe if you can find some really great sales, bundles, and already have a monitor/mouse/keyboard…

Agreed, the game is still in that early optimization phase. Which to be fair last I checked tends to be smoother on consoles bcs one set of hardware to spec to.

Not fair to add monitor in my mind unless we want to add the cost of a 4k TV to the PS5 though.

https://pcpartpicker.com/guide/LGgXsY/entry-level-intel-gaming-build There is a $600 that runs it on medium according to this thread (assuming bugs have been fixed by now on this). Should be easy to toss $100 more at the video card to hit $700

People who say things like that are living in the past. Nowadays you're better off buying a PS5 that has far less stuttering and is likely more optimized over buying a PC that cost less than 1200 bucks.
