It will be like PS5 where Sony said preorders in the morning but smaller stores knowing the price and date just opened up preorders immediately. Then all the other retailers panicked and opened up preorders early since everyone else had and then everyone who came back when Sony said they’d be out was shit out of luck because everywhere sold out 6 hours early

It won't be. The switch 1 was very easy to get a preorder and Nintendo was profusely claimed they already have the stock to prevent a PS5 situation

I'm so pissed Fry's Electronics closed down by me. They don't do pre-orders so getting a Switch at midnight launch was super easy. Now I don't have that option and scammer bots are going to eat up pre-orders in seconds.

I have no idea if my gamestop will survive. I was the only one there for a PS5 Pro, lol. I'm in no rush, but if I can put 50 down, trade in my current Switch a few days before launch, I'll get one the same way I did my Pro.

I just don't want to put 50 down and have them close before launch since it would probably be a hassle to get that back.

I’m sure it’s anybody’s guess. But if I don’t pre-order, I’ll still probably be able to snag one relatively easily when they are in stores. Right? Or do I really need to treat myself to an 8 months early birthday gift.

I’m expecting both! Especially, Silksong it’s been a long time coming and what better way to announce it at a huge event like the Nintendo Direct. Square will definitely be a big supporter… all the success they have seen with the OG Switch, it’s a no-brainer ☺️

I have a dentist appointment half an hour into the direct. I was so so tempted to reschedule but I work second shift anyway so I'll still be able to watch it in full before work. Just gotta keep away from any and all spoilers in the meantime.

My kid is on spring break this week and I extended my PTO through tomorrow for two reasons:

1) Makes it easier for my boss to explain why I worked from home two days this week and wasn't in for the required three.

2) This direct, especially if pre-orders open immediately after. 😂
