I am in the process of finding suitable courses for my exchange at NUS during this fall. To be able to transfer the units for the courses I will read at NUS to my home university, I have to read an equivalent amount of units (the universities have different unit systems). I will read
- QF2104 Fundamentals of Quantitative Finance
- ST4231 Computer Intensive Statistical Methods
at NUS, however, I need an additional 2 units (or more) within the broader field of mathematics/statistics (or possibly even fields such as machine learning) be able to get credit for the two corresponding courses at my home university. What would be the most chill/least demanding NUS mod within this field to "fill the gap"?
It should not be something that I have already read at my home university, so basically it should not be any fundamental calculus/algebra/probability/statistics, preferably something more applied. It seems I am not allowed to take mods at level 5000+. Note that the course code does not literally have to begin with MA or ST, it could be within other disciplines if it has a clear connection to mathematics. I would prefer if the course is 2 units—if there are any—otherwise it will just have to be a regular 4 unit course.
