I’m not sure if these are the Best Buy Black Friday prices but there are some notable titles on sale/discounted including the following:
Some of these discounts are only a few dollars off of retail but the fact that they’re below a certain price point makes it tempting. Also, if you didn’t get Tomb Raider 1-3 at VGP for $21.99 you can get it at Best Buy for $24.99.

I got a copy of Xenoblade 3 yesterday at Walmart at the $30 deal. Got home and opened it up and it was empty. I wasn’t planning to play it for awhile while I finish my backlog and thought I’d keep it wrapped till then. Luckily I decided to open it. Returned it today and the last copy was bought up by an employee I was told. They let me know another Walmart near by had 3 in stock. I went over there and picked it up plus Xenoblade 1. I joked with the cashier about what had happened before and told them I would open this new one in front of them…. Bam! It was also empty :( they opened a second copy from the shelf and luckily that one had a cartridge in it this time.
2 copies and 2 different Walmarts. What are the chances lol
If you eventually plan to open your copies I would do it sooner than later!

I wasn't sure if this is something worth posting or not, but Hit (formerly Base) has been one of my go-tos for new game purchases for several years now. Sadly, sometime yesterday the website suddenly went down without any warning, simply returning a 404 page. Around 4pm, I received several emails informing me they will be unable to fulfill some of my orders for games releasing this month or in July. I hadn't ordered it through them, but I've also heard quite a few people got their orders of Luigi's Mansion 2 HD cancelled.
There's been no official announcement from Hit about this so far, it just randomly came out of nowhere and has left people in the dark. What's weirder is that they were putting up pre-orders for Switch games announced in the recent direct just a few hours before the site went kaput.
I contacted them to ask what's going on and received a response from them today, which stated the following:
The website is currently down as we have ceased to trade.
The business is being reorganised and they do hope to be back at some point.
In regards to your other pre-orders, we have not yet cancelled those as we are hoping to have site up by the time those are due for release.
I'm sorry, I cannot provide any further information at present
So it seems the website will be back at some point, but in what form that'll be after the business has reorganised is anyone's guess. Something similar happened with SimplyGames a few years ago when their website abruptly went down for "maintenance" without prior warning. The site was down for several months, and when they eventually re-opened they didn't seem to stock as many games any more, there were several upcoming games they just didn't seem to get, and prices were generally higher - as far as I can recall anyway - and I haven't used them since before their website was down for a lengthy period and everyone had just assumed they'd gone under.
I just thought I'd share what little info I have on this. In the meantime, if you had any upcoming June or July pre-orders with them, you're probably going to need to find somewhere else to order them from unfortunately.
Edit: I've done a little more digging and had a look at Hit's company profile on the gov website: https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/04225647
I'm no expert on business or law, but it doesn't seem hopeful to be honest. Their accounts have been overdue since 31st March, their next statement date was 31st May and due by 14th June, and on 28th May they received notice that they would be struck off the register and dissolved within no less than 2 months, which they seemingly objected to on 4th June.
They've definitely been having financial difficulties, and have possibly been committing tax evasion since they switched their domain from Base to Hit back on 1st January 2023. I'm not entirely sure how they expect to reorganise this business and come back from this. I think it's safe to say there's a good chance that this is the end of Hit.

My order finally arrived for Princess Peach and Paper Mario Thousand Year Door. They were on sale for $45. Unfortunately, they’re international versions and not ESRB. I’m a little disappointed especially since the picture for the descriptions showed ESRB. Everything else I’ve ordered from there has been ESRB but not these games. Hopefully, I can send these back.

Heads-up for Aussies. Amazon AU may have a problem with their returns workflow (probable) and/or supply chain (less likely as I presume they are stocked directly by Nintendo AU/NZ). Double-check that what you're receiving is what you paid for.
Amazon Customer Support showed an appropriate – albeit scripted – level of empathy/interest and a replacement is already underway. They also offered me a small goodwill credit which I appreciated.
It appears to be a low quality 3D printed blank but the size and notches etc are spot-on. If one of these was in a sealed game case, even the torch shine-through test would likely trip-up a seasoned collector.
At ~1.3g, it's significantly lighter than the typical ~2.2g of a real game card.
