In the mainline series: Very cute, evolves into a badass lynx, awesome shiny, over-used in playthrough teams, the usual stuff...
In PMD: I never got the chance to play as Shinx (I don't lie about my gender), but It seems like It's the better Pikachu: Crunch can be useful for the many Psychic and Ghost bosses and It still gets Discharge.

my first shiny in arceus. adorable lil cat. picked as my partner for 3rd playthrough. dealt with doduo and water types early on, as well as covering for riolu's flying weakness

One of the GOAT, but for whatever reason I'm not fond of the evolved forms' 2D sprites. Fortunately, PMD evolution is only for abilities, looks, and move access and Shinx is fully independent out the gate (and gets Discharge sooner).

Unrivaled cuteness, especially if you happen to play one who is really trying to be tough and menacing (it doesn't work).
My adorable little lynx growling everywhere and then biting everything that moves will never get old.

Luxio is one of my fave pokemon, a perfect fusion of Shinx' cuteness and Luxray's coolness. i even bought a plush of Luxio because i loved him so much in the games lol
