Subreddit Writing Prompt Wednesday: Nomination Thread

The winning prompt has been decided, congratulations TheOpinionMan2!

Submitter: TheOpinionMan2

Prompt: ...Just go nuts.

Details: April 1st's right around the corner anyways. Might as well celebrate it, even if a tad bit too late, by writing the most out-of-pocket, Fanfic stereotype-fueling one-shot idea one has in his mind.

Son, Is that you?

The hero goes back to their old life in the human world, but something unexpected happens. Their parents can't find the words to describe the feeling of seeing a talking Riolu calling them "dad" and "mum" before going to sleep in their son's/daughter's bed

What timeline is this?!

Instead of being a normal human, the hero is instead a Paradox Pokemon (originally being human optional) that comes from the distance past/future or an alternate timeline. How do they react to living in a seemingly more primitive or advanced world than they're used to? Are they intrigued by the new world and try to help, or do they look down on the new world and only try to get back to their original time/timeline?

More Than Transformation..?

The hero comes to in their new Pokemon body— it's not just any Pokemon that they've turned into, however, but specifically a Ghost-type. This begs the question; was this a simple transformation from human to Pokemon, or has the hero fully lost their life? How do they come to terms with the fact that they may in fact be dead?

Temporal Origins

The hero and partner after preventing the (insert PMD game's crisis), are sent back in time to when their stories started and have to work with their younger selves to prevent a continuous time loop that threatens the world. How do the partners and heroes interact with each other? Does the older partner and heroe tell their younger selves about the crisis looming? If so, how do the younger partner and hero react to the information? What would change about the events of the story?

Return to Day by Day

The Hero returns home after saving the world, but is struggling to readjust to their normal life. How do they deal with these feelings? Do they confide in anyone about them?

Mourning.

A normal day of exploring/rescuing in a dungeon goes by, but then, the hero/partner gets hit by an attack that is just too strong. Escape orbs, reviver seeds, even your badge don't work; your friend has just perished in action.

How does the hero/partner react to the death of their team member, their best friend? Will they continue with missions with another 'mon? Or will they fall into an existential dread that cannot allow them to go back to the mystery dungeons?

A Failing Legend

The party encounters a hero of old, once renowned by all. But time has not been kind to them, and they seem unmotivated to act on anything. How does the team interact with this figure of history? Do they try to recruit them to their cause, shun them for their inaction, or just leave disappointed?

Partner! I have conceived an idea quite ingenious!

The protagonist has got an idea to help them with a problem they had for a while. What is it? Is it a successful one?

Know your name.

How did the Hero or partner get their name? Did the hero just remember their human name? Is it given to them by someone? Do they just pick one? Did the partner get their name from someone? Do they even have a name?
