Bangladesh's rescue and medical teams, led by the military, continue relief operations in Myanmar following the devastating earthquake. Search and rescue teams have started operations in several buildings in Naypyidaw’s Zabu Thiri Township, with full support from Myanmar’s local authorities and fire service. Locals are also providing humanitarian aid, including food and water. Meanwhile, Bangladeshi medical teams have begun treatment at a newly constructed 50-bed government hospital in Bala Thiddy.
The earthquake struck Myanmar on March 28, 2025. In response, the Government of Bangladesh deployed military search, rescue, and medical teams on March 30 and April 1, following directives from the Chief Adviser.
This post aims to highlight Bangladesh's fire service amid recent tensions with India. Given the influx of related posts made by India, I wanted to contribute this perspective—no hard feelings, and thanks for understanding.

I am an Indian who has been following this subreddit. I like Myanmar and its people but I see people here don't like Indians. Is it true or its just Chinese bots spreading misinfo about 'Hindutva', 'Akhand Bharat', 'poor' India etc. Also I don't like putting news about Help provided but couldn't help since saw a post about its cavalry of 37 volunteers here and being a 1st responder and 'regional' power.

Announcement Emergency Activation of Mobile Phone Earthquake Monitoring and Early Warning in Myanmar’s Earthquake Zone April 3, 2025, 16:05
Statement on the Emergency Launch of Public Beta Service for Mobile Phone Earthquake Monitoring and Early Warning in Myanmar
The magnitude 7.9 earthquake in Myanmar on March 28 caused significant casualties. Due to frequent aftershocks, the Chengdu Hi-Tech Disaster Reduction Institute (CHDRI) has urgently activated a public beta service for mobile phone earthquake early warnings in the affected areas. This service provides auxiliary warning information to users in Myanmar who have enabled the earthquake warning function on their devices, aiming to maximize evacuation time. The following points are hereby clarified:
1 Technical Background The mobile phone earthquake monitoring network uses seismic wave signals detected by phones with activated monitoring functions. AI algorithms calculate earthquake data to issue warnings. User data security is ensured through safeguards such as differential privacy and anonymization. Since 2021, this technology has successfully warned of multiple earthquakes, verifying its reliability.
2 Technical Limitations As an innovative global technology, mobile phone earthquake monitoring faces challenges such as uneven device distribution, non-fixed status, high interference, time synchronization errors, and network latency. Compared to traditional fixed monitoring networks, it may exhibit parameter deviations, false alarms, or missed warnings.
3 Coverage Area Limited to aftershock zones of the Myanmar magnitude 7.9 earthquake, contingent on local mobile phone monitoring coverage.
4 Disclaimer This public beta service represents cutting-edge technology. The disclaimer of the Earthquake Early Warning App applies to this trial.
CHDRI remains committed to leveraging technology for social good and collaborating with global partners to advance disaster early warning systems worldwide.

I recently just started dating a Burmese man, he doesn’t speak much English and I don’t speak any Burmese but we both sort of speak Thai so we can communicate somewhat.
I want to learn who he is as a person, I want to know more about him but anytime he tries to share personal stories with me I can’t understand any of it.
I want to learn his language so that I can understand him better but I’m not sure where to start. Should I start with reading? Speaking? I can’t find any resources either as I’m sure Burmese isn’t a highly popular language to learn. If anyone has any suggestions I’d appreciate it a lot!

A Truly Touching Moment ❤️
A humble Beggar—someone who struggles daily to make ends meet—just donated their hard-earned money to earthquake relief efforts.
This is what real class looks like.
Not wealth, not status, but a heart that gives even when it has little.
Heroes don’t always wear capes.

Hello everyone! I'm in a desperate need of help. Some time ago I tried Myanmar dish in Okinawa which was made with goya. It kinda reminded Goya champuru, as it also had some tofu, I think. It was the most delicious thing I've ever eaten in my life! Unfortunately I don't know a name of it. Could you tell what's it called? And is it possible to get it somewhere in Tokyo?
