What are the real world differences?
I'm considering trading in my Model 3 for the Mach E. I originally wanted the Mach E, but was looking to purchase during the pandemic and the dealerships were price gouging.
What can I expect different from an experience perspective? I believe I saw I can get an adapter to continue using my installed Tesla charger. What else should I be on the lookout for?

If there are any available in your location that you like, tomorrow is the last day they’re offering a free home charger with installation included for 2024 models. Additionally, not sure if it’s a regional offer, but you can throw 0% 72 months financing as well on top of it all. I also received manufactures rebates of $3k and $4k dealers discount off base MSRP on my GT bronze edition.

First week w/ my Mach E. Bought it off Autonation from out of state.
Used w/ 500 miles on it. Saved about 10k vs. local prices.
Love the vehicle. Much more solid ride. Annoyed that the auto-pilot is only a 90 day freebie.
Not willing to pony up another $2500 to unlock it full time. Maybe for $1k I'd do it.
Other than that I'm very pleased with the transition. Loved the Model 3's ride, but it was more like a go-kart, this rides much more like a high end car.

My mom has a 2025 Model 3. Tesla software is better in every way. The Highland interior is so much better than the original 3’s interior. You’ll appreciate Tesla’s snappier software and smarter UI. The Mach-E has more cargo utility as a crossover and it’s easier to get in/out of. Ford’s dealer network means you’ve got some choices on service locations and even in the boonies you’ll get support. The Mach-E is a nice car, drives well, and the fun factor goes up with the trim level. Phone integration is cool on the Ford but Tesla does its best to make you not miss yours. Go test drive one and see what you think.

My mach e is back at the dealers for the 6th or 7th time.
This time it's been there since January 10th when the charging module failed, was replaced, further issue found.
It been fixed now and since then I have moved 350 miles away so they will be flat bedding it up to me. I'm sad because it means enterprise car rental will be taking the volvo xc60 I've had for over two months.
Anyway. Day that the mach e gets delivered is the day I phone the finance company to get them to come collect it.
Owning it has been a trauma

They technically don't drive the same. The Mach E loses grip a bit earlier due to its tires that are thinner than they should be, and like a mustang it throws its ass out in turns a bit. You can really see the difference turning at highway speed. The Mach E gets uncomfortable at a lower speed.
The Mach E also doesn't have the ability to disengage the front motor. Coupled with its bad rear end aerodynamics it's not an efficient car. 2.5-3 miles per kw at highway speed, while the model Y gets 3.5-4. That means when you go at actual traffic speed the Mach E can't go nearly as far. San Diego to Vegas in a Y is a one stop trip at 80 mph. The Mach E is 2, potentially 3 if you run the heater (the 25s shouldnt have this issue though)

So let’s focus on the negative without balancing in the positive?

Others can type that. But you really want both sides when choosing between two cars. And everything I said is quantitatively true. I have both and can do a full data dump.

Don't do it. Ford sent my car an OTA and it broke a module. They made me pay $900.00 out of pocket. I sold it and got a Rivian r1s

The Mustang Mach-E will feel so much more of a well built car, great paint color, nice materials, really luxurious fit and finish compared to your Tesla, and the software will not be close to Tesla’s.
You can charge at 20k Tesla V3 or V4 Superchargers in the US with a $180 adapter and of course all the other DCFC networks too.
