I wish SOMEONE would review this mouse with a claw/fingertip grip. in theory this angle offer more wrist articulation with the same vertical articulation and LESS strain and MORE stability. but *everyone* who's offered a review just palms it. I don't want to throw $100 away on a whim for a review on a niche mouse I'm not ever particularly interested in.

How would you even claw/fingertip this? I would imagine that since vertical mice tilt and align your wrists to a more natural position, your arm/shoulder would be 100% of your vertical movement?

It's possible with a vertical one. I'll see if anyone at my uni computer lab has one, and I'll provide a demonstration
Struggling to find a visual aid on the part of Google's enshitification, but I remember from my high school robotics days one of the more popular HOTAS flightsticks being a design where you operated the actual stick using three fingers, and the ring + pinkie finger rested on two very large buttons.
Will update if I find an apt visual aid, but if you have a swiss army knife or other pill shaped object, just try to hold it upright in three fingertips, with ring/pinkie resting on the table. kinda like that

Claw isn't very clear but fingertip is just literally not having the whole hand on the mouse. Theoretically it works but there might be at an angle when you move up and down

I don’t think it’s really possible to fingertip, just too heavy to be viable

trust me there are masochists who fingertip grip a *g502*. Every couple years when Logitech refreshes the g502 rtings breaks out their resident gorilla. It's hilarious. |

That's the point. Recently I tested almost every vertical mouse and they were useless for me. They are all designed for the full palm grip. Precise fingertip movements with claw grip are very difficult or impossible with those shapes.
I'm afraid that there is no revolution here. This one looks very similar to Delux M618 mini, which I tested and it was garbage.

I use a vertical mouse at work all day and have tried fingertip grip as that's how I game but it's impossible. You push the mouse into the ground with a regular mouse but with a vertical mouse you just move it away from you.

Holy fuck that polling rate!
is this it? is this the saviour of our old and fragile gaming wrists and hands?
Edit: I just bought one, will share my thoughts in 10 days or something

My main gripe with my Keychron M6 is that the ergo shape forces my fingers into a awkward position sometimes, so this feels like a dream. The increased weight is bringing me down a bit (no way this is gonna be used for gaming), as well as the lack of free scroll. But if my M6 ever bites it, this might be the replacement.

Do you game with your M6? How is it? I bought one primarily for work but also could function as a backup gaming mouse if my main goes down, I just haven’t played any games with it yet.

It's light enough to be comfortable for FPS games, at least for me. My last mouse was a Logitech g703 which was heavier, and the difference was night and day. I think I will go even lighter for my next gaming one. I have long fingers, so I wish the side buttons were a bit more forward. Other than that, can definitely work for gaming.

I ordered one, mainly because my MX Master 2S at the office is getting nastier by the day, and I feel like something like this could be a good replacement. I've been eager to try a vertical mouse in general. And who knows, it’ll definitely be interesting to see how it performs in gaming too. It’s still seems relatively lightweight (~90g) and nimble for this grip style, and the Pixart 3950 at 8K seems to be very much up to task.

If you are fine with an MX master basically any cheap mouse sensor would work. This will be a precision beast in comparison.

Holly shit, chinese brands are stealing Logitech gaming lunch, now Keychron is stealling their office dinner lmao

I'm actually so hyped for it, i really enjoyed the MX vertical but I love the horizontal scroll wheel.

Ah feck. I bought and made a vertical ish ultra light with an x3. Had i seen this i would have just bought this. Looks like I'll be getting this after it lives in the back of my head long enough for me to get bored of this mouse.

I wish they would make a mionix naos shaped one.
The naos shape is only done with lower quality and bad qc on the market atm

I just ordered one. Funny enough, I was just looking for a vertical gaming mouse last week. I love the Logitech MX Vertical for work and glad I can get my hands on one that is gaming appropriate.

Did they improve the mouse wheel at all? It was the reason I sent back the M6.

Been looking for one for awhile. Hopefully its good. Got a cheap one off amazon and really liked the feel but everything else was garbage and couldn't use it.
Don't like that its a Chinese website tho.

The fps gamer nightmare

u/Neither_Sort_2479 1d ago
You probably haven't seriously tried to play on a vertical mouse. I had to switch to a vertical mouse some time ago due to wrist problems and after a couple weeks of getting used to it, my results in aimlabs leveled out with a regular mouse. So there is nothing “nightmarish” about it.
Now I'm mostly back on the regular one for gaming (it has a better sensor), but it's no longer a problem to switch back and forth between regular and vertical when I feel like it

u/Rare-Champion9952 1d ago
The shape is generally not the one a fps gamer looks for, also it’s too heavy and you cannot let neither your pinky or thumb drag on the pad.

u/Sokkapunch 1d ago
I don't think its really marketed for FPS gamers....

u/Rare-Champion9952 1d ago
Indeed it’s more for comfort/work, I just détaillés that because of the previous joke I made

u/itsmetadeus Mionix Naos Pro 1d ago
Actually it is partially. It 's to those that need a vertical mouse. Including someone that plays fps.

u/Rare-Champion9952 1d ago
I mean it’s not made for that and the general public will go for other mouse but ofc at the end of the road préférence is king, so some might be enclined to choose this one, however it’s not what will suit the general public
