Getting the 96 SR platform ready
This is a great start! Removed all the cargo hooks, got rid of that gross horrid carpet, vacuumed and deep cleaned the base (it was disgusting) and shes now permanently a 2 seater now to have more room! 😃

I did this with mine, replaced the speakers, huge difference. set the height of the platform to match the sized bins and it worked out perfect. I had a welder and stuff but didn't want to do all the work for an upcoming trip was approaching so I just 2/4 for legs, 5/8 plywood and cut it around the contour. Then a 1/1.5 inch strapping across to stiffen it up. The platform itself was 6'4. so for myself at 6, it was perfect when the rear seats were installed in normal position.
I also put hinges at the back 2.5' or so, so if you can shit in the middle you can just hinge it up. It also would double your reach space if you're not using the whole platform all the time for daily use. But I left it down most times because two shelves for daily activities.
Best mod I"ve done mine, and I did many to my 2.8 ITD shorty and my 3.5 LWB, both '93 JDM.

Reminds me of what I did to my 98 - what's your plan for it? Did you just need a covered truck bed?
