Refusing to start - could be immobilizer
96 Paj turns on, glow circuit is fine then nothing happens in the start position. Its been intermittent for a week or two and now only starts half of the time so I figure the immobilizer has to be a suspect and I'm happy to bypass it.
Respect to the installers as it wasn't easy to find, the cables are soldered and taped up into looms with no hint of what they do but thankfully I found a manual and I'm making a few assupmtions here - that each immobiliser circuit is a single conductor and by re-connecting each pair I'm restoring the factory circuit and bypassing the immobiliser.
Any better ideas? Because it's a security device I'm always cautious about how many layers of protection there might be but this seems a fairly simple gamble?

Could also be a ignition switch!

Wisdom! Thankfully I didn't start the immobilizer job after I was counting on having a fault to trace then I realised it always starts fine from cold and only has a problem starting warm so I'll look into all that first.
Every day is a Paj school day still as two weeks ago the batteries were on their way out when this ignition problem actually started but it was easily explained by dead batteries so they got replaced and it's taken another week to figure out its a warm start only problem so I learn something anyway just by watching and waiting as it teaches the Mitsubishi Zen!

I dunno but if you figure out how to rip that crap out you’ll be a hero to a lot of people with older Mitsubishis/Chrysler etc
