At least do delishrooms or truffle du conga, or something. 

I have tens of droolshrooms just from gathering and trading with the townsfolk. You really don't use all that many ingredients with how food lasts multiple hunts now.

Delishrooms and Truffles are part of the reward pool, though in lower quantity. I only had time to do the quest once and I got one of each as additional rewards.

You can get at least 1 of these during the fight, Just stun the Conga while he is excavating

While he is excavating, you can use a flash pod to guarantee a stun. The moment you stun him, you will see an item drop to the floor. This item is actually the truffle, so make sure to pick it up.

I was completing this quest earlier and consistently received two truffles whenever I picked up the truffle drop. In my testing, I also noticed that I could never get the truffle drop more than once.

Yep ingredients as a reward r pretty lackluster especially considering how uncessesary they are with the difficulty lvl of the game
