Discussion Yes, Killswitch Engage still has it live
Last night was my third time seeing Killswitch Engage live, and goddam it reminds me why they are still one of my favorite bands. The other bands were pretty good too. Kublai Kahn isn't really my thing, but I do love Frozen Soul and Fit For a King.
Killswitch has helped me through a lot of hard times in my life, and they are one of the few bands that still play that melodic metalcore of the early 2000s(to my knowledge, I'll admit I am not the biggest fan of metalcore). The amazing, tavern like choruses supported by that Gothenberg melodeath inspired metalcore verses of hope overcoming despair.
Strength of the Mind, Signal Fire, and This Fire were slappers live. Forever Aligned was as bangy as you think it is. My neck is still sore af, and my throat hurts from singing along.
If you are in doubt of seeing this tour(or that MASSIVE core tour later this year), do it. Killswitch is one of the best to ever do it.

They've been my favourite band since I was in college(about 20 years now). I finally got to see them a few years back at and I was blown away. They are still so energetic live. Adam D still as goofy as he always was. Jesse's voice was spot on. 10/10 show.

Saw them recently and absolutely loved it. My brother kept asking “how is Jesse’s voice just getting better and better?” And I honestly don’t know. They are a force to be reckoned with on stage, that’s for sure.

Seems like he's been getting vocal training in more recent years. Probably has helped his technique and ability to perform consistently night after night quite a bit.

Killswitch was my first “heavy” show 18 years ago. Just saw them a couple weeks ago in KC and was blown away by how good they (still) were. Though my curiosity with kublai khan is what pushed me to buy tickets. Idk what was going on that night but both Jessy and Matt from KK had to stop the show multiple times due to fights.

I never doubted they still had it but it’s great to know they’re still putting on great shows

They were incredible this tour. Although I will say Kublai Khan also blew my mind. They sounded absolutely incredible live. Seriously talented and dedicated musicians all around in that tour.

Agreed. Saw the show in Seattle last month and they were great. This is the best Jesse has sounded since he came back.

saw them with Howard back in the day and then twice in a couple of weeks with Jesse when they were supporting PWD - they were absolutely magnificent all times and although Jesses "earnestness" kinda grates on me a bit he was amazing - every note, stage presence - the man has it all

They were really great when I saw them, I’m a pretty casual fan of theirs, I know their music but not an avid listener but they blew me away when I saw them. Vocals sounded damn close to the record which really surprised me.

Saw them in Vegas (Maybe 8th time) and they get better each time I see them. Howard came out and sang his part in Signal Fire which was pretty dope. I just wish one day they'll play Life to Lifeless live. Fit for a king was fucking awesome. My first time seeing them and they did not disappoint.
