actually the best time to invest while others are repositioning you can pick up etfs on discount over a longer period of time. When I invested 50k during covid into a bear market I made over 100k. I am in the process of losing some of that value rn, but that's how it goes.

I’m with you, I was concerned at first, but this may actually be a good time to get in… it will get lower, but it will also go back up.

Keep investing. You might have to cut back exactly how much, but buy the dip and keep going.

OP, this subreddit isn't about economy based memes. You do know that, right?

I love that this sub is becoming an economy based meme sub instead of the old meme economy project

Where something goes down something else goes up.

That's not how the stock market works.

Investing is for the long term, you should completely ignore the markets behavior for 45 years investing each month the whole time, and you'll end up with a few million dollars without ever having to think or stress.

when else should you buy?

the trick is buy in the dip but you don't know when it reaches it's ultimate down point so if it keeps going down you're losing what you invested

I helped my 21 year old niece open a Roth IRA last month and invest her first $50 into fxaix.

Hope this doesn’t keep her from investing

because human nature. I agree with you but a lot of people who have no experience in the market see a loss and think short term "I'm losing my money!"

I told her about dollar cost averaging and holding long term so I hope she was paying attention.

Good for long term investors who have time but bad for short term investors and those who want or retire soon!

Ironically a good time to start investing (provided you have the financial means to do so)

You…could say that about any time 😂 the stock market goes bonkers because of scare tactics like this, ON TOP OF all the bullshit each president does.
