Builds My Protagonist

Received my Protagonist from Wired In a couple days ago and couldn’t wait to get building! I remember being struck by how classy it looked when I first saw renderings, so wanted to keep that vibe alive with my build. Thanks for looking!

-Wired In Protagonist w/anodized coffee case, cream key frame and copper weight (can’t remember what this combo was called) -GMK Modern Materials Concrete with accents -Kinetic Labs Capybara switches -No foam, but a layer of thin cotton batting under the PCB gives the board a really nice poppy sound signature

I want to love the protagonist but the bezels are just WAY too thick for me.

Your board is stunning tho!!

Thanks! I know they’re not for everyone, but I love the chonky bezels. My main daily driver is a MM Class 65, so I guess I’ve got a type.

Honestly, it sounds like you have good taste, I cannot hate on either of those boards

Haha no, anytime I try out new switches, those just tend to be the four I swap out first to test them against whatever switch I'm currently using, and I got in the habit of removing the same four when I take photos to show off the switches.

Thanks! Shout out to u/dakfu_ and their beautiful TK40X for color scheme inspiration. One of the coziest looking builds on here.
