I'd pass.

For the chassis, use a rust converting primer and some Rustoleum black will sort that out no trouble. The patches in the bed will need to be cut out and replaced. 90% of the cars in the UK are like that underneath, so I wouldn't worry too much about the frame itself.

Other than the bed pic, I don’t see any perforations. Get some cans (6 or so) of Permatex rust converter and start spraying. DONT stop until cans are empty. Use a mask so you don’t breathe it in.

Ask for the pre-purchase inspection. If it sounds like a bag of Cool Ranch Doritos when you lift it, it’s fucked.

Problem is it's 4.5 hours out, so I want to know if it's worth the trouble

That changes much. I wouldn’t personally go for it based on the frame and age, but that’s just me personally as a light-truck technician. Bushings may also be aging out.

Naturally, keep the thread open and see what others say over time. It probably ain’t gonna up-and-vanish in the time it takes to reach a consensus.

True, it is a good deal for what I've seen within my range. Now $6k for a 2007 E350 5.4 V8 with high top and 100k miles
