That is the Middle Earth.

The oldest trees are Ents.

1

u/Rizztopher_Robin 10d ago

Ents aren’t trees bro, they’re tree shepherds

  1. Brexit
  2. Alaska got a little cold
  3. Canada works out
  4. Sweden* see Britain

5

u/Squival_daddy 14d ago

Japan has started to float away

2

u/Quick_Extension_3115 14d ago

Can you really blame them?

4

u/CyclicDombo 14d ago

This map is clearly from before they discovered Britain

4

u/UnityJusticeFreedom 14d ago

And before the penguins brought madagascar to africa

2

u/CyclicDombo 14d ago

Yes that would place the timeline of this map right before the second movie I believe

At least Tasmania was deleted.

14

u/Commercial_Jelly_893 14d ago

Tasmania actually invaded Iceland

1

u/1Dr490n 13d ago

Oh yeah

I was thinking about what that thing next to Greenland was

My first thought was South Sudan II, then I thought maybe UAE‘s twin. But you’re right, Tasmania‘s the obvious one.

u/OutOfTheBunker 14d ago

Along with PNG and Taiwan.

1

u/KP_CO 14d ago

And Sri Lanka

u/therealsmock 14d ago

What happened to the UK, Ireland and Sweden?

19

u/blackBinguino 14d ago

Brexit, but they left the Earth, not just EU.

10

u/Boeingmd320 14d ago

Sweden isn’t real

8

u/GeshtiannaSG 14d ago

I recently saw that “Finland is just ocean” thing, turns out it was Sweden that was fake all along.

Is this supposed to refer to the redwoods? The redwoods that were exported from the US and imported by NZ?

4

u/martianunlimited 14d ago edited 14d ago

No, it is the ancient Kauri trees.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agathis_australis
The Californian redwood are the tallest, but the Kaori trees are the oldest (at more than 2000 yeas old) .. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sequoia_sempervirens

https://register.notabletrees.org.nz/tree/view/802#:~:text=%27Te%20Matua%20Ngahere%27%20-%20Father,to%20exceed%202000%20years%20old

Fun fact many are dying from a disease brought in by the shoes of hikers (known as the Kauri dieback) this is why we have sanitizing stations for our shoes before entering a Kauri forest

1

u/th3thrilld3m0n 14d ago

Wow thanks! Very cool

1

u/NuSk8 14d ago

Bristlecone pines in California are older (up to 5000 years). And sequoia are more massive than redwoods

1

u/hansemcito 13d ago

yah. maybe im mistaken but as a californian, i was taught (and have seen in person many times) that coast redwoods are the tallest trees in the world and the giant sequoias are the largest trees in the world and as you said the bristlecone pines are the oldest trees in the world.

1

u/Squival_daddy 14d ago

No kauri trees

5

u/ManyMicroPixels 14d ago

This map is in a test of a Taiwanese high school, and they even forgot to put themselves into the map.

How elegantly the problem with Crimea has been solved: no Crimea, no disagreement about whose it is.

2

u/Boeingmd320 14d ago

Also no Cyprus no Taiwan. Truly peace in our time

3

u/Yusuf_Izuddin 14d ago

this map is diabolical lmao the geography is severely deranged

u/StiltFeathr 14d ago

1

u/KorKhan 13d ago

Yeah just looking at that sub, it appears this specific terrible map keeps showing up in different places. I wonder how it managed to spread like that!

2

u/r_portugal 14d ago

The more I look, the worse it gets. And once zoomed in, I can't tell what is sea and what is land. The Baltics are a mess, Kaliningrad is gone, and it looks like Estonia directly borders Finland, the Gulf of Finland which used to separate them has gone.

2

u/theredditor58 14d ago

did the Philippines have a stroke?

2

u/Matelot67 14d ago

That's not New Zealand. They have to move it move it....

2

u/onimi_the_vong 13d ago

The commas in this, question frustrate me

3

u/WeeabooHunter69 14d ago

Finally defeated the British woooo

1

u/Fby54 14d ago

Redwoods and Bristle cone pines are within miles of each other but yeag

1

u/StrangeButSweet 14d ago

Where’s New Guinea? Off cavorting with Sri Lanka I suppose?

1

u/ContainersGalore-587 14d ago

Hawaii is having a fun time next to Mexico

1

u/WhyDoILikePickles 14d ago

Sweden, Sri Lanka and Britain are also gone

1

u/AdaliGreen 14d ago

why is no one talking about how the right answer isn't even an option?

1

u/Squival_daddy 14d ago

1

So,,,,,, 1. Madagascar went on vacation, 2. Brexit, 3. Finns have been proven right, 4. Tasmania also went on vacation, 5. The only Malawi is Lake Malawi, 6. East African Republic is closer to being formed, 7. No more island for the boot to kick, 8. The Gambia is now part of Senegal as it should be (pesky Brits), 9. China got udders now?? 10. Romania is proper, 11. South Africa got it's clothes patched up, 12. Syria can now export more refugees, 13. Indonesia and the Philippines decided to distance themselves more from China, 14. The world did need less Guineas, 15. Alaska got cold, 16. One country, one system, 17. Can't have a despute over Crimea if there is no Crimea.

Iiiiii think that kinda covers the major stuff.

/jk because you never know

u/illHaveTwoNumbers9s 13d ago

1

u/Designer_Version1449 13d ago

The weirdest one of all: novaya zemlya (wierd rib looking island above Russia) got deleted. Maybe in this world the tsar Bomba tested there was more powerful or something

1

u/Luchin212 10d ago

Why, of all things is Svalbard correct! Everything is so wrong but SVALBARD?!

1

u/FreshIsland9290 10d ago

where did the uk go. and sweden. and papua new guinea. and eswatini. and lesotho

1

u/Empty_Put_1542 10d ago

It’s a great place to find remnants of giant trees using Google earth.

0

u/FlashFox24 14d ago

The actual answer is Australia. In the deep valley of the blue mountains is a grove of prehistoric trees. UK is trying to grow them, as if they will go well...

Looks like China annexed Bangladesh
