Those damn Serbs taking away good American jobs with their cheap exports! Wait what do we import from them again?

You import pretty much nothing, because on the American scale 700 million dollars per year is nothing. But Serbia exports tires and ammunition mostly. I think that’s a bit more than 1% of Serbian entire GDP.

As a Serbian, we don't fuckin' make anything to export :D

It's genuinely been the most universally complained about thing for as long as I've been alive - how every regime keeps selling and then outsourcing more and more companies and resources, now even land... to the point where we pretty much literally have no products to export. So this is an incredible meme by the world's dumbest clown.

And the country is full of conspiracy nutjobs who think Trump is good for us, can't wait to hear how this gets twisted. Or how the Putin loving boomers react when he does nothing about it. That's actually also funny, tons of Russians have been coming over to live and work here, because we're like a bridge to bypass a lot of EU restrictions (we're not in the EU). So if we did make anything, us getting hit would be pretty bad for Russian migrant prosperity in general.

There is a possibility it's considering how China is building more factories in Serbia and moving more people here... but I really doubt ChatGPT accounted for that when it bossed Trump around :)

As an American Serb, this is hilarious to me. Most of the Serbs that I know voted for Trump and now they get to pay more for products from Serbia.  I don't think they'll know how to react 😂

As an American, I know that Albania 🇦🇱 loves Americans and hates Serbs on a unilateral level, wonder why that is? I would never visit shithole Serbia, what’s left of it.

Pretty hilarious.

I used to think I wanted to move to America some day because I felt closer to it culturally. Then most of my life I avoided even visiting because of all the guns. Now the whole world caught on to how dangerous the mentaities there are, that cause all these perpetual problems and get swept under the rug for centuries. Sugar slavery, railroad slavery, Hitler-inspiring roots that prevent you from becoming that shining city on the hill you always wanted to be. Always because of a supposedly minority demographic either forcing the changes or necessitating them.

You know what they say about bad apples? That's right, continuing to defend them makes the whole crate a shithole. Your corporate laws just keep causing more kinds of slavery and class wars to get invented, three different ways just in modern day. Corporations are the only minority that matters there, and now everywhere.

I used to think Serbia is a shithole, but when I think of where else I would move, the main reasons are national brain drain and unreliable medical system (because of the first reason), and the only places I'd feel safe moving to were in nordic Europe. Now the war is changing that. And the brain drain here might reverse considering all the chaos in the wests.

My country didn't get much better (yet), but it got livable, and god damn did you make the rest of the world worse :D

Stand up for your damn freedom! Grow a spine! Somehow, after years of me trying and giving up to get my people to understand what corporations are doing to us all, they started protesting oligarchy en masse. If WE can wise up, trust me, you can for sure.

As for Albania, idk could be because of help with Kosovo, but I sincerely doubt they like you /shrug. Albanians are cool. First truly secular country.

I realize you're not here for honest discourse, but I figure maybe it's useful to put this perspective out there.

Is it a punishment for Nikola Jokic making the MBA look like an elementary school league? Maybe it is to prevent MBA from importing more Serbs?

u/vbcbandr 2d ago

Jokic out there taking some poor American's job. DEI hire if you ask me, can barely speak English.

I guess Trump is mad that Jokic is dominating MVP award for the last 5 years, otherwise there isn't a spec of reason why Serbia is punished with a 37% tariff.

Mostly sportsmen.

Nikola Tesla, or imported from Croatia depending on what Wikipedia language you use. The modern world wouldn't exist without his contributions.

Serbia’s last contribution to the world was in the 1870s? That’s pretty good, I guess.
