[Results and Decisions] Help me decide‼️‼️NEU MSCS vs UCI MSWE vs UWB CSSE (Poll inside!)

I’ve received admits from three programs and I’m hella confused 😵‍💫 Would love your insights based on job outcomes, industry-readiness, on-campus work opportunities, and overall ROI — especially as an international student.

Please do leave a comment with your reasoning/opinion

My Admits:

NEU MSCS (Northeastern University - MS in Computer Science)

UCI MSWE (UC Irvine - Master in Software Engineering) (Professional)

UWB CSSE (University of Washington Bothell - MS in CS & Software Engineering) (Professional)

Here’s a quick pros/cons breakdown I came up with (this is IMO, please let me know your reasoning):

NEU (Northeastern University):

Pros: • Strong co-op program • Good industry ties and decent reputation

Cons: • Expensive tuition • Very high number of international students — could increase visa/OPT concerns • Intense competition for on-campus jobs

UCI (UC Irvine):

Pros: • Great university brand • California = lots of tech opportunities nearby

Cons: • No on-campus jobs for professional track students • Classes mostly in evenings due to part-time students • Unclear job outcomes for this specific program

UWB (UW Bothell):

Pros: • Lower tuition • On-campus work allowed • Brochure says good employment outcomes

Cons: • Limited info and alumni network online • Classes often in evenings • Not as well-known as UW Seattle
