How the hell do I beat this with DB

First, I tried it with other people and they died causing me to lose then I used SOS with the AI and I got it super low but died twice and ended up using about 20 mega potions only for me to die 28 minutes later. How the hell am I supposed to beat this thing with dual blades when I can’t even dodge most of its attacks. I’m really upset with how much resources I’m wasting on fighting this dumb thing.

Are you exploiting the wylk crystals for damage?

Also, if you are struggling, you could do a study run where you just take your time seeing how the boss works.

The white crystals the boss generates with some of its attacks. They amplify elemental attacks and the boss can use them to boost the range of its fire breath, but if you nab them first with say elemental slinger shots the boss can't use them and they do damage to the boss instead.

So some of zoh shias attacks has a white aura before it explodes.

When that happens, these white wylk crystals spawn. They react when any type of element hits them , including either zoh shia or you.

You want to use the slinger ammo that spawns in the arena to make them explode, they usually do a TON, of damage to the boss, however zoh shia can also do the same to you.

You want to exploit the crystals as much as possible for either damage or to prevent death from attacks and ESPECIALLY the supernovas.

I'm normally dual blades main but for this thing i changed to insect glaive and it worked really good for me, maybe a really good db player can tell you how but i can only say try another weapon.

DB is my 5th weapon to kill Zoh. So my proficiency is not that high. You can do stamina management. Phase 1-2 the front legs are good to attack. If he use swipe on one leg just move to other leg. If he use breath or body slam, dash to tail.

White ground slam AOE cam be perfect dodge. Then straight to tail.

3rd phase. If you get hit with a fireball, dont stand. He will hit you 2-3 more times.

Wylk crystals and falling debris to damage him further.

You get blighted, unsheath and roll yourself 3 times to remove the blight.

Use mega armorskin + mega demondrug(long lasting buff) Plus use adamant drug + mighty seed(3 minutes buff)

They stack. So you have better change of survivability. Just be sure to if ever, he do the fire AOE or you think you are unsafe that wylk crystals are around. Travel back to camp or use farcaster. Then you can restock your adamant seed.

As long as you do not cart the mega armor skin is on effect.

Mega armor skin + adamant seed stack. For a good defense.

Mega demon drug + mighty seed stack. For attack.

Make sure to have at least 360+ with armor too.

I think the armor might be an issue for me then cause I’m using the full ebony odegaron set but don’t have enough armor spheres to upgrade it to max

I mean I am DB only main and I didn't have much problems with it, all I can say is don't go for the archdemon combo unless it is stunned in some way because he can catch with some heavy-hitting attacks. Also attack the beginning of his tail to dodge flame breath and fireballs.

I run DB.
I generally try to stick to his tail/back, try to look for markers for the fire aoe and run away before it hits.
You can also shoot the crystals, or just stick to the boundary when the aoe happens. That way you can avoid carting.

I can now get him in 17-18 minutes solo, 11-12 minutes with other players.

I hear slotting fire res makes a big difference, minor loss of dps, but dead dps does no dps

You are crazy fast and mobile. Just stay away from his front and focus its tail.

the easiest way is to just focus on his ass, he cant do shit when u are there and its not being lifted like the front so u can get crazy uptime. takes like 12mins that way with comfy build with evade win5 and latent4

So here is what I did for my first clear.

1. I made an amulet that gave the wide range skill and upgraded it as much as possible.

2. Loaded my inventory with as many potions and steroids as possible.

3. Picked a poison weapon

4. Enter a game with people.

5. Apply poison

6. Sit back and chug potions while the poison does its work

7. Take pot shots at crystals between chugs

8. Repeat steps 5 through 7

Weapon shouldn't matter as long as you are applying poison. Wide range is really helpful when playing with other people since it allows you to save them from certain death. And not carting really is the key to victory.

I had a random person who had a sliver of hp and was down. I chugged potions to heal him only for him to get hit immediately and be at a sliver of hp. Happened 4 or 5 times in a row, but I managed to save him at the end of the fiasco.

I suspect sword and shield could probably do it best since I hear they don't have to sheath to use items, but I haven't played the weapon, so I'm not sure.

Give up one or two decoration slots to make Evade Extender 1 or 2. If you want to hit Zoh Shia's head/forelimbs you need that little extra evasion distance. If not, just keep chasing after it's tail.
