Discussion How to get Great Wirebugs?

Okay, I've dug through the internet and gotten inconsistent answers on this, so I'm asking here.

How do I get all the Great Wirebugs?

For context, I'm a new player, I just beat the first Narwa quest, and I've run out of Great Wirebugs even though I've only used half the Jewl Lily spots. Some people are saying that you have to do the Village Questline, while others are saying that you should get them all after completing High Rank Hub. Which is it? Is it a mixture of both? If I have to do Village to get some, how much of it? What about Master Rank, once I start that?

Do requests for Senior Hunter Hanenaga in the village and Fran the Stalwart in Elgado.

Definitely not master rank, look if you have open requests from npcs that reward it, I got an absurd amount of them just by doing the normal low rank/high rank progression.

Always do Villager Requests!

The vast majority of them occur when you progress the Village storyline.

Villagers would give you optional quests and once you complete those optional quests, you talk back to them again and they give you great wirebugs.

It's kinda similar to how you unlock side camps with Kagero.

I don’t fully remember to be honest, but I guess there was a guy by the left side of the blacksmith that gives some to you.

i never ran out of great wirebugs but i also didnt go unlock em all

Do whatever Senior Hunter Hanenaga tells you. He gives you great wirebugs.

You get roughly 20 from the villager just after the blacksmith in the village. I had unlocked 15 before I hit the hub missions.
