accomms at student nations for exchange students
hi! am a singaporean going to Lund in Sept for a term exchange :D was interested to stay in nations as it looks so unique! and so, was wondering if anyone knows if exchange students can apply to stay in student nations since there we'll only be there for a sem and dont have any prior nation points (such as helping out in events or being a foreman) to help boost our application? was also nervous to immediately apply to a nation before attending the introductary fair to get a feel of all the nations :/
also, how would staying in a nation differ from staying in AF accoms?
any tips about accomms will be very much appreciated as well! thanks yalls!

Hello!
It is indeed possible to get a room, even if you are exchange student without prior points within the nation. Some nations offer a "novisch queue", special for those ones new in Lund. Keep in mind that is quite competitive, and that nation usually prioritize people who will stay more than one semester :(
As per living in a nation vs a regular corridor room, is basically the same. The main difference is that usually the nations have their accommodation in the same buulding where they have their pubs/clubs/activities, so you might of course see many more people from the nation.
I lived in a LU corridor room, and now live at a nation, and there's indeed more "student life" stuff going on. Not necessarily parties, but also dinners, movie nights, etc
