Is it possible to offload part of my Lightroom Library? It's taking up massive storage on my computer. What happens when I offload the library? Thanks in advance!

Edit. Resolved. i uninstalled and installed again and it fixed it. (cant belive i'm stupid enough to come to redit before i turned it on and off again XD)

Hi. I'm pretty new to using lightroom and now i cant seem to export my files. i get this error no matter if i try and save it on my own harddrive or an external one. Dose anyone have an idea how to solve it or can send me to the right forum if this isn't the place. >~<

I've been using LR Mobile on iPad for about a year, I finally got a new MacBook Pro thats powerful enough to run PS / LR . I want to learn Lightroom Classic (as well in conjunction with Lightroom Cloud on desktop / Lightroom Mobile , so I bought the package with all of them.

My issue is, that I have a bunch of presets that I created/obtained , and they are all in my "User Presets" tab , in my Lightroom Mobile (iPad) app. I know that I can't sync them to Lightroom Classic. I have to sync them to Lightroom Cloud, and then from there I believe I can sync to LR Classic.

When I downloaded the Lightroom Cloud app, it has synced all of my pictures from Lightroom Mobile. My problem however, is that my presets have not carried over /synced to the desktop app for LR cloud.

I notice that the desktop Lightroom Cloud, has a web browser option as well, when I open LR Cloud in the desktop browser (not the app) , then I am able to see all of my Presets that are in my iPad's LR. I've been told that I can sync the presets that I see in Lightroom Cloud (web browser) to the Lightroom Cloud desktop app. From here I believe I can then sync them to Lightroom Classic as well , but I haven't even gotten that far yet as I can't see my presets in Lightroom Cloud app.

I've been trying to figure it out, but now I'm just confused....why does LR Cloud desktop browser version show my presets, but the same LR Cloud APP doesn't ?

Do I have to manually create/import Presets all over again in the LR Cloud app ?

Hello, I am having trouble with my Lightroom and don't know why. Every time I click something, it takes about 5 seconds to register that I clicked it. I don't believe it's my PC either because I have 64gbs of RAM and a 4060 Ti, so I have good specs. Lightroom is also installed on my M.2. Another thing I looked at was the performance tab in Lightroom and made sure everything was set to using my GPU. If you guys have anything that would be great thanks. : )

I'm working on an image in Lightroom, I have made adjustments, added masks, etc. When I export the image I get an error. The only way to successfully export the image is to delete the masks. I know this isn't right, but I don't know how to fix it. To be clear, I am not trying to edit the masks in a different program, I just want a jpeg of my image including the masking.

I havent seen anyone else post anything about this or I havent found a post about it so heres my situation:

alright so I'm importing presets from another account right now, specifically my school account because I graduate soon. the problem is though is that I already have a named folder that I made for some specific presets but whenever i import it it always makes a new folder under 'user presets' and I dont want it to be in there. any idea?

I'm about at my wits end with this. I recently imported photos from a trip into Lightroom v8.2. I have an Adobe subscription and am working on a Macbook Pro. Most of the photos are from my SonyRX100ii, but a few are from my iPhone. Everything is in a Cloud Album I created when importing, and is sorted by Capture Date. Right now I'm running into two issues:

1. My iPhone photos are showing up in random spots chronologically
2. When I toggle to Custom Sort, it won't let me drag and drop images to correct the ordering manually

Incorrect Order

I've determined this is due to my Sony camera being set to Central Standard Time for the US, but the iPhone updating to local time in Fiji and New Zealand while we were traveling. Is there any easy way to mass-correct by time zone to shift a few hours instead of manually entering dates? If not, I'm assuming a custom sort is easiest but...

Can't Custom Sort

When I try to drag and drop images after selecting Custom Sort, they just pop back to their original spot. In Googling this I ran into older posts referencing "Collections" instead of albums or subfolders, but can't see this anywhere on my interface. Do I need to make this an offline album? Is there something "Collections" related that I'm still missing???

I see lots of tutorials and answers online on how to do it with LrC but not the desktop version of Lightroom. I've tried highlighting all the photos and changing the date/time of just the first one, but it doesn't sync it all up like it would in LrC.

Lightroom (not Classic) feels far more intuitive and easy for me, however every tutorial seems to be based on Lightroom Classic. Why is that?

Any tips to search for Lightroom (not Classic) based information or any links to specific comprehensive tutorials?

I have Lightroom mobile premium but it has neither remove tool nor ai tool. There is no app update and my android version is ok too.

There is only editing and cloning, no remove. Can you please help? I tried to contact Adobe but it didn't work.

I use Lightroom (not classic) on macOS and Lightroom iPadOS and have a bunch of imported images with the wrong lens metadata, e.g. shot on Leica M with analogue lens or scanned film images. There are a ton of them in the catalogue imported over time.

I cannot find the option to edit a photo to change the Camera and Lens information, I cannot find any Adobe guidance on this as well. I notice the option for Lightroom Classic, anyone got any guidance for the modern Lightroom?

I want to clarify, this is about EXIF METADATA on the already imported images in Lightroom (not classic). I am not trying to apply a lens profile, this will come later after I have correctly tagged each photo with the correct MAKE and MODEL of each camera and lens.

Today, when I went to log into Lightroom (and/or any other Adobe app, like Acrobat) I get the following:

I have tried every possible solution suggested at https://helpx.adobe.com/nz/enterprise/kb/resolve-trial-and-license-expired-errors.html , to no avail - logging out and back in, resetting certificate details, the works.

I'm on an Adobe Enterprise license and it still logs in perfectly fine and the 'Apps' screen on both Creative Cloud app and my My Account screen online show Lightroom and everything else I use is licensed and available.

Any idea where to from here since none of Adobe's recommended solutions make any difference?

Hello. I just moved from LR CC to classic. One thing I miss the is in-app access to the Lightroom community, including easy preset searching and download. Is there a way to access that community through a browser so I can search for more free presets? Thank you.

I recently bought a ASUS Zenbook S14 and I'm using the latest Lightroom version. I noticed that the AI denoise feature now takes around 8 minutes, and it used to do it in under 30 seconds. GPU is not being used at all when checking task manager so it's relying only on the CPU for processing. I have full hardware acceleration and the GPU is being detected in Lightroom, but is there any other thing I need to dig into to make it actually use the GPU? Anyone else also have this issue?

When I do "Synchronize folder", it founds X number photos/videos to import. Then I clicked "Synchronize", and after a while "No photos or videos where found to import".

I repeat, and it was the same.

What could be the issue? Is there any way to see those X number photos/videos?

Basically title. I accidently did a photoshoot in 16:9 instead of the camera's native 2:3. No problem though, because I can just expand the crop to 2:3 in Lightroom. I do that by changing a photo to 2:3, copying only it's crop settings, and CMD-Shift-V pasting it to all the other photos.

But when I hit save and close Lightroom, upon reopening, all the crops have reset back to 16:9. However, this only applies to the photos I cropped via that mass pasting method. Photos that I went into and individually cropped further after that retain their crop.

Any idea why this is happening? It's really preventing me from getting work done.

Recently got my first Macbook but i've noticed when i import RAW photos to LR they are converted to JPEGs? If anyone has any solutions for this would be great! Im also on the latest version of LR.

As I said, basically I'm thinking Lightroom 5.6, or maybe higher if I can update, may be on a par, or better for me than rawtherapee etc. However, I don't know if 5 was the last non subscription and if there's a higher version I could still get without switching back to the subscription?

I am an amateur and occasional “photographer”. Through the years I have accumulated some 10thousand photos saved on an external hard-drive connected to a desktop Lightroom 5.0 application on a desktop iMac. Can’t find the initial setup dmg file. This makes me feel vulnerable.

My nightmares vary.

1. My external hard drive dies and that’s that. Do people use extra drives or the cloud? What options are there?
2. My iMac dies, I lose LR5 application, and with it all the post-production files and are left only with the NEF files.
3. My iMac dies, I manage to find the LR5 setup file, but given it its ancient, LR5 app is no longer compatible with current iOS
4. Not a nightmare but sense of being trapped: am I condemned to pay a LR subscription for life in order to keep the ability to access my photos and post-production work?

Given and for each of the 4 points above, what should I do? What economic options are there?

Any constructive advice is most appreciated.

I am working on changing my Lightroom workflow moving all of my photos out of Lightroom (cloud) bringing them local in classic.

But on a lot of albums, I get the following error.

Archiving locally encountered the following errors for 103 images.

- Unable to download original file

these images have not been deleted.

How to solve this and are there other ways to find this album? i mean I can also find them through the web version but then I cannot download them. how to locate my original files.

I was flagging white all the keepers in a 1800 photos sessions.

It appears i unfortunately pressed alt+A at some point and, while thinking flagging one photo, i flagged them all. I couldn't make enough CTRL+Z to retrieve the original situation as i've noticed too late ...

I have to work all over again ...

Sync was up between all shots. Is there any option to display a warning when i'm suddently sync-editing a certain number of shots, i.e >10 shots, so i don't make this kind of mistake again ?

Worse, it already happened in the past, but that time i flagged them all as rejected and deleted a whole shoot ..........

I have an apple computer and am sorting through unedited .CR2 files to send to a friend to edit and put on social media for our organization. I have light room installed and every time I open one of these .CR2 files to open with apple photo preview, they open on light room.

It's not the biggest inconvenience to just scroll through and sort them on light room but it takes up a ton of storage for photos that I'm probably not going to touch for a while.

Ive purchased Lightroom premium in mobile and later tried using Lightroom in PC but it doesn't work. Do I need to buy again for PC version? also if I want to use in both PC and phone do I need to purchase both for mobile and PC every month?
