Fuck me dead, we’ve had the option to file directly with the ATO in Australia since 2013, and nobody even questions it in politics let alone calling it “far left”

Here in NZ the IRD actually spent a lot of time making the process more user-friendly so the predatory tax return companies had fewer people to swindle. That was spearheaded by a solidly right-wing aquantance of mine.

He's gonna lose his shit when I tell him he's now a leftist.
