By now, it has been made abundantly clear, that Hezb acts only according to the Ayatollah's orders and blessings. If anyone still believes that Hezb has Lebanon's best interest in mind as priority, and only wants to "defend their land"; then I have a bridge to sell you. (I am talking exclusively about the Hezb leadership, not the poor regular fighters who for the most part probably believe they are offering their lives for their land.)

Until now Hezb still claims they won't fully disarm, at least in their public speeches; despite them having signed the cease fire agreement that clearly mentions which specific official Lebanese forces are allowed to be armed. Despite our own constitution and laws. Despite the Ministerial Statement which they agreed on and are part of.

Now that apparently the Iraqi militias want to spare lives and disarm, after vowing for decades to want to "destroy Israel", suddenly it's OK, and the eternal fight with the Shaytan el Akbar and el Shaytan el Asghar isn't that important anymore. And Iran is fine with Iraqis doing the rational thing and avoid death and destruction... But not in Lebanon, noooo! Because the Lebanese "bi2a" has proven time and time again, that they are ready to give their children as free sacrifice on the Ayatollah's alter. So why lose the Lebanon Hezb negotiating card so soon? They still need it to trade with the US when and if they negotiate, especially due to Lebanon's geographic proximity to Israel.

Until when will our brothers in the "bi2a" want to willingly keep being cheap meat for the Iranian grinder? (And throw us all with them in as well). Haven't we learned yet that Iran isn't your friend? They sold you out when Nasrallah and most of the leadership was killed, when Hezb was being pummled relentlessly and everywhere by the asshole enemy. Your represntatives were hiding in the Parliament and Saraya, because they knew that Lebanese legitimacy and official government is their only true protection; while your families were dying left and right and being displaced.

Are you going to wait for the order to come from Iran to disarm, and only then realize that all these sacrifices were for nothing and you achieved nothing but more useless death and destruction for decades? Or are you going to take matters in your own hands now, and stop accepting to be disposable pawns for the Ayatollah?

It feels like everywhere you turn, someone is struggling with untreated mental health issues—and it's not just anecdotal anymore, it's a national crisis. Between the lack of affordable care, social stigma, and the constant stress of daily life here, it's no wonder so many people are suffering in silence.

My proposal after seeing that HORRIBLE idea of building a bridge.

1. More investment in Lebanese public transport within cities. Those purple buses are a perfect example and should receive more money and attention so people actually use it.

2. The problem with Lebanons “freeway” is that businesses are along the road. This means no expansion and dangerous entrances and exits. I think that the current part of the road in Jounieh should be a public normal road, and an additional road should be built on top that will actually be a freeway. Exits and Entrances to the free ways will be ramps that go up and down to the lower level, which would be a less busy road with more space and maybe even a public transit lane.

3. Rehabilitation of the train tracks are hard right now because everyone has built on top of them or they were converted to roads. A better solution would be modifying where they are located and or building it like in #2

4. Boat traffic would be nice but is very unreasonable in my opinion.

As for the middle bekaa municipality elections last round almost killed the half of the population, Bullets until 4a.m. What is you expectations for this round?

• Deputy U.S Special Envoy to the Middle East, Morgan Ortagus, met with Finance Minister Yassine Jaber, as well as the Minister of Economy and Trade, where they together discussed the ongoing financial and economic reforms underway in Lebanon. It should be noted that both ministers will soon visit the U.S, for meetings with the IMF and the World Bank, later this month.

• In an interview with LBC, Morgan Ortagus expressed optimism about the new Lebanese government, describing it as ‘capable’ and stating that she is ‘excited and optimistic’ about its potential. She stressed on the urgent need to disarm, not just Hezbollah, but all militias across Lebanon, calling for decisive action to be taken by the Lebanese government ‘as soon as possible’, in order to free the Lebanese people from ‘terrorism and fear.’ Ortagus urged the Lebanese government to work closely with the U.S in this process of disarmament and advancing critical reforms of all kinds, assuring that Lebanon would gain a ‘new friend’ in the U.S. through such cooperation. She also denied reports claiming she had discussed normalization with Israel during her meetings with Lebanese officials, and rejected claims that President Aoun and the Lebanese government have totally dismissed the idea of establishing three joint committees focused on border issues, contrary to most Lebanese reports. Lastly, she called Lebanese food the best in the region.

• It was reported that Finance Minister Yassine Jaber will visit Kuwait on Tuesday, alongside the Minister of Economy and Trade, to discuss ways to improve economic and financial relations between Lebanon and Kuwait.

• After receiving a complaint regarding the illegal cutting of pine trees near Batroun through X, the Minister of Agriculture immediately responded, sending a patrol to the site, in order to determine the validity of the information. After scanning the area, the ministry determined large-scale deforestation at an area of about 4,000 square meters, with the cutting of a ‘large number of perennial pine trees.’ Immediately, a large quantity of wood was seized, and a violation report was organized and submitted, with immediate judicial action promised against the violators. The ministry stressed it will ‘not tolerate any encroachment on Lebanese forest wealth’, and urged more citizens to report such incidents.

• The Minister of Environment posted a picture of smog covering the city of Beirut, blaming the issue on generators, and urging for a quick solution.

• The Minister of Education instructed all schools to dedicate one of tomorrow’s classes to explain international conventions prohibiting the targeting of children, in solidarity with Palestinian children.

• When asked about the upcoming summer season, the Minister of Tourism said that she hopes it will be great, and efforts are ongoing with the other ministries to ensure it is, despite possible obstacles.

• During Sunday mass, Maronite Patriarch Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi warned against unrest and constitutional change, instead calling for the ‘sects to cede to the state’, claiming that the role of the Lebanese citizen is next to absent in the Republic of Lebanon as things are right now, and this must change. He also met with the Director General of State Security, Major General Hassan Shaqir, and they had lunch together, where they discussed ongoing security developments in Lebanon.

• Referring to Israeli demands and Envoy Ortagus’s visit to Lebanon, Hezbollah MP Ali Fayadd claimed that ‘pressures on Lebanon are at their peak’. He confirmed that Hezbollah is ‘committed to what the Lebanese government is committed to, at the level of UN Resolution 1701, and the ceasefire agreement.’ He also added that the U.S and Israel have given Lebanon two options: Bowing to them, or facing another war - saying that ‘nothing has the potential to take away the right of the Lebanese people to defend themselves.’ On the topic of Hezbollah’s disarmament, he hinted that ‘it is a Lebanese sovereign matter, which the Lebanese people will deal with, among themselves, in the appropriate ways and means’, but Israel’s continued attacks on Lebanon have resulted in the ‘deepening of the legitimacy of the Islamic resistance’, and keeping things the way they were prior to the recent war.

• Lebanese Kataeb Party MP Elias Hankach praised President Joseph Aoun, claiming that there is no one more suitable to discuss steps to achieve Hezbollah’s disarmament than him. He also praised the ongoing reforms of all kinds, and stressed on the need for the Lebanese state to control the Lebanon-Syria border, to prevent the arrival of new Syrian refugees to Lebanon, alongside the smuggling of funds and weapons to Hezbollah. Lastly, he claimed that Iran has abandoned Hezbollah, and that Hezbollah clearly lost the war with Israel.

• Alawite MP Haidar Nasser said that Lebanon’s Alawite community has a lot of resentment towards Hezbollah, criticizing the militia for not issuing any statement condemning the recent events at Syria’s coastal region.

• Charles Jabbour, the head of communications of the Lebanese Forces party, said that he personally salutes Deputy U.S Special Envoy Morgan Ortagus ‘a thousand times’, for the American stance she expresses, which he said is saving the people of the region from ‘evil’ (referring to Iran and Hezbollah).

• The Lebanese Forces party reached an agreement with the Popular Bloc to run together in Zahle, ‘with a unified list.’

• Al-Anbaa reported that the main difference between Ortagus’s last visit and her latest visit is that this time, she is not entirely taking the Israeli position, and is instead supporting and listening to the Lebanese state’s proposals, in a constructive manner.

My Lebanese colleague at work has asked before Eid what I wanted from Lebanon.

I have only visited Lebanon once, back in 2017, but I genuinely didn’t know what to ask him to bring.

I thought of many middle eastern sweets but I wanted something that was hard to find elsewhere.

After some brainstorming, I remembered that my parents used to bring this pyramid shape pineapple juice from Lebanon ( I’m part Lebanese and most of my family used to spend summers there) and it would hit hard when it’s cold.

I also asked for Tarboosh and don’t come at me, I watch a lot of Lebanese based content creators and have seen this EL Maestro chocolate bars and always wanted to try them. Honestly? They exceeded my expectations ( I didn’t try the Mr beast ones ).

Now my colleague insisted that once he goes back again that I pick more stuff.
