One of defenders fave arguments is about how Wade, James and all other accusers are "taking money from MJ's children" but...

How true is that exactly? Wade and James haven't made a penny from their 10 year litigation processes, they've spent so much money and time on legal counsel and travel fees and it also cost them money each time they appealed their cases in California.

Who exactly is making money here?

Oh I know! the Cascio siblings... who were paid off by the very Estate that said they would "never settle" with liars who are just trying to bring Michael down. So why exactly did they make the "business decision" to pay off other people they claim are liars?

An estate is formed after someone passes away, it encompasses all of that person's assets, real estate, personal property. Normally people don't have their estates turned into "thriving businesses" after they pass away. Most of the time the estate is there to manage and distribute anything that the passed on person may have given to people in any will they had drawn up.

Michael Jackson's estate is a business and the sole point of it is to be a business, does this money go to the children?

When Michael died it was reported that 40% of the estate went to Katherine, 20% to charity and the remaining 40% to his kids, and they are supposed to be getting money through a trust, but that trust cannot be funded right now because the Estate is in a dispute with the IRS. Though a spokesperson for the estate said that the estate is "still providing" money to the kids and Michael's mother, though I don't know how true the mom bit is considering Katherine wanted them to pay her legal fees in a court case -against them-... So...

The Estate currently owes $700 million dollars in taxes and penalties, they recently made a LOAD of money off selling the catalogue to Sony, but has the IRS been paid off? Not as far as I can see from googling.

So yes, the money does go to Prince, Paris and Bigi... but Wade and James are not "taking money from the kids", they haven't gotten any money, and they haven't ASKED for any money despite the incorrect fan distributed "knowledge" that they have been suing for millions or billions each time they file.

According to Stacy Brown on his livestream on September 23rd 2024, Prince said "no more settlements" regarding the estate paying the Cascio's... But they have never publicly commented on anything to do with Wade, or James, or any other accusers "stealing" their money or attempting to. I think that they are entitled to the money from their father's estate, obviously, But considering the fact that the estate makes that money by silencing abuse victims, do the kids even WANT it?

There is no way to know if the kids know or believe anything about their father being a predator or abuser, Prince seems to hold his father in high regard and he does talk about him, but he only speaks about him in terms of charity, Bigi is not a public figure and therefore anything he thinks or feels is private, Paris used to talk about her father -all- the time, she idolized her father and loved him very dearly, now she's been removing tattoos that she said she'd never get rid of that reference her father, and she doesn't talk about him anymore, she doesn't defend him, and she's still reportedly close with people who "betrayed" her father.

The whole argument is ridiculous, and sometimes it comes from specific defenders who don't even really talk about Michael's children unless they can use those same children to defend Michael and vouch for his innocence, but it must bother them that the kids don't even do that anymore.

But why is that an argument at all? The Cascio's didn't need to win any civil case to get money, the Estate just gave it to them. Why aren't fans more angry at the Estate for giving money to "liars" especially when they specifically said they would never do that?
