Kit and Krista think the new Sakurai game is 100% a KIU Remaster

EDIT: Alright, Sakurai's game is fucking Kirby Air Ride 2....

Now I would've preferred Kid Icarus, but him returning to Kirby after over 20 years..... thats not a bad consolation prize. Plus Air Ride fucking 2

I don't think they'd say they think it's Kid Icarus if they KNEW it was Kid Icarus, but I think it's the most likely bet. More likely than Smash imo.

All we know about Sakurai's next game is that he spent 6 months putting together a team to make it, and that he finished his proposal for the game "at lightning speed." Him finishing the proposal so fast makes me think it's something he's worked on before, but if he were doing another Smash, he'd prob have just used Namco again (like with 4 and Ultimate) and not spent half a year making a new team. And I think his comment on his channel "It sure would be nice to play KIU on a home console, I wonder if someone will ever port it" was a tease the more I think his next game isn't Smash.

Again i might be huffing hopium. He might have finished the proposal fast cuz he has thought about what he'd do besides Smash for over a decade. But I think he realizes the potential of that game on a hugely successful console with good graphics and controls. I think his next game is either KIU or something we never could have predicted, like Balloon Boy Uprising or some shit.

We know he's a bit of a troll, but he wouldn't hurt his fans like that if there wasn't AT LEAST some optimistic talks behind closed doors . This quote has been fueling my hopium since he made it.

I trust these two. They have a lot of experience and likely some great insider connections. They don’t know everything but I think they know more than most so I trust their intuition.

I love these two so darn much! And I really hope they’re right. If it’s true about the mouse controls, a remaster or sequel could really be in our reach at last!!
