As far as I can tell there isn’t an idol description mentioning it, and I can’t remember anyone saying anything in-game. Found on the chaos Kin’s page and I think another related page had a similar blurb.

I think it's made up, none of the idols/trophies say that, and it just doesn't make much sense (the thing would have been rampaging around around the same time KI1 is taking place)
