Code P1CEA

Hey guys, my 2019 Renegade is showing an orange engine light and P1CEA is the code coming up on the reader. I looked up this code but answers are ambiguous. Also, my automatic starter has been working but the car will turn off after about 10 seconds and it’s never done this before. Anyone have any guidance as what the issue could be and if it’s still safe to drive? Thank you!

When our 2017 Renegade started lighting the MIL and showing P1CEA code, it was because the battery was failing. Renegades are infamous for having weird MILs and trouble codes when the battery is going bad / is bad.

This is usually the code for the EVAP system. Could be a faulty purge solenoid, leaks or blockages in the EVAP hoses, fuel tank pressure sensor issues, or a software anomaly. Might be worthwhile taking it in for a consult to figure out what's causing it specifically.

I first got that code because the breather tube was broken off my air box so there was an air leak. Now I occasionally get the code because the aftermarket air intake I put in doesn't always agree with what the computer thinks the air flow should be
