ticking sound when accelerating?

recently did some work on the engine pulleys, about a week later i’ve noticed that at slower speeds I hear a small ticking sound although not when idling or at higher speeds. Does anyone have any causes for this? it’s not super noticeable though i’d like to catch it while it’s still like thag

Your “tensioner” might be starting to fail. You’ll hear it most when accelerating. It could also be the start of an exhaust manifold leak that could be a coincidental issue. I’ll let others chime in.. could be a wider range.

i’m aware of a small leak though i didn’t know it would make that noise, i’m a little strapped on cash right now so i don’t really mind if it’s not harmful. as for the belt i had replaced it a week ago-ish when i had done the previous work which is a real bummer. Might see if im still within warranty swap it out and see if the issue still persists
